@Lilly: Abiogenisis. It has nothing to do with evolution.

I'm Starting To Understand Atheist and Evolution
by Philadelphia Ponos infor many years i was sincerely perplexed when someone told me they believed in the evolution theory or were an atheist.
i never understood how someone could ignore all the evidence for intelligent design and overlook all the holes in the evolution theory.
for example, the human biology clock is synced with the rotation of the earth, the earth is the perfect distance away from the sun to sustain life, the earth has an ozone layer to protect us from the sun's radiation, the earth naturally produces fruits and vegetables to be used for food, our bodies produce enzymes to break down the fruits and vegetables so it can nourish us, the earth produces water and oxygen, etc.

A Scientific Theory is "an explanation or model based on observation, experimentation, and reasoning, especially one that has been tested and confirmed as a general principle helping to explain and predict natural phenomena.". As such, a theory held by the majority of the scientific community can generally be thought of "truth as it is known now". Important scientific theories include the theories of relativity, gravity, and electromagnetism.
I do not have the personal knowledge to prove evolution, and I do not claim to. Instead, I have read research, books, and articles on both sides of the question and come to what I believe to be the most logical conclusion. The argument you have is with these sources, not with me, as my knowledge and experience is not as robust as these peer reviewed studies. Arguing against me proves nothing except that I don't know everything.
However, as a sign of good faith (otherwise known as feeding the trolls, which I am notoriously bad about doing) the reasons why I "believe" in evolution:
1) There are a number of flaws in human and animal anatomy that are best explained by evolution, such as the appendix, or the plumbing design of women (such as problems of having their uterus fall out under certain circumstances)
2) There is a MASSIVE amount of genetic evidence linking all known species of animal, including particular instances where we know how/when a particular gene or chromosome evolved. For example, monkeys have an extra chromosome when compared to humans, but the genetic markers for the beginning of the chromosome have been found in one of our (the human species') chromosomes.
3) Radiometric dating and other dating methods have shown steady progress in complexity of life. Despite the occasional claims to the contrary, they have never found fossils of people hunting a T-Rex.
4) The Universe is BIG. The chances of an earthlike planet existing is good, and given enough time abiogenisis and subsequent evolution (if even remotely possible) would inevitably happen.
5) There have been actual experiments demonstrating the evolution of a trait through natural genetic variation (and some artificial selection to speed up the process a hair).
6) Lots of other stuff I have yet to learn.
Now if you'll excuse me, I have class in the morning.

Asheville, NC is one of the best gay (or insert pc term here) holiday spots in the country and has a reputation as such. Apparently, it's just a county thing.

I would love to know what exactly were you looking for because it's impossible to prove or disprove the existence of God
It isn't that difficult to prove the existance of something or someone. The hard part is disproving him (which is logically impossible, as I'm sure you are aware). My research mainly focused on evolution and the history of the bible, as well as a lot of research into paganism (though that was more related to my girlfriend's religion than my search for God).
That statement was so straightfoward I didn't think it needed any further explanation, but to answer your question if you put human beings on any other planet in the entire universe the climate would be either too hot or too cold to support life. Of course you could used circular reasoning and say life would evovle to meet the conditions of any planet in the universe, but the fact that there are no traces of life on any other planet suggest otherwise.
What you're talking about is a numbers game. If there are roughly 100 billion billion planets in the universe (I got that number here , but the source is unimportant for this thought experiment), and the probability of any planet being habitable is 1 in 10 billion, then there are 10 billion habitable planets in the universe, any of which could have developed life. And any intelligent life would look at the world and say "wow... this is perfect and seems to be made for me, therefore there must be a creator". Hence you cannot use that as an argument for creation. In fact, I seem to remember reading something when I was younger about mars being able to support life if it was just a hair closer to the sun. Also, the above numbers explain why we haven't detected alien life. If only one in 10 billion planets supported life (true, I pulled this number out of thin air... It is only an example because I don't know, and I think no one knows, the exact probabilities) then the chances we would find it in the nearest hundred or thousand planets would be very unlikely. Even projects like SETI had very little chance of success because the majority of life in the universe would probably NOT have evolved like we did technologically, or at least have not yet from our frame of reference (given the time signals would take to reach us) Now... What I just said above is pure speculation. Right now that falls out of the spectrum of what we know. I would suggest, however, that you at least read the sites we linked you to, as they refer specifically to the information you requested about evolution: http://evolution.berkeley.edu/

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the UN in charge of the situation in Libya? I would say that in this particular instance, it actually is a "Police Action".

What proof is there that Jesus chose the Bible Students in 1919?
by VM44 inwhat proof is there that jesus inspected all the religions or the earth in 1919 and then chose the bible students?.
just because the watchtower says in its literature that they were chosen is not proof!.

The 'Carlin Step'
by WhatAboutWatson ini don't know about you folks but music now a days seem to lack real artistic intergrity on the radio.
lady gaga was born some way, i assume and hope from the departure of a womb.
britney spear's "hold it against me" is a metaphor for s&m love making and bruno mar's "grenade" will be used in the next peral harbor film.. one song though not only has me tapping my feet but it has me thinking!.

I love this song. Thanks for sharing.
Side note: Lady Gaga is surprisingly talented. There was a performance of a chamber work of hers at a New Music concert at UNT. I had no idea. Lol
