to top it off with the wt/awake publications...i do believe there was some talk about in 70's or 80's that there were some "apostates" among the publication staff and there were some things printed that shouldn't have been there as well

My Dad Died Today
by cantleave inhe has been ill for some time, but it was still unexpected.
he was never a jw and i didn't really have a close relationship with him, since he remarried after my parents divorced.
i reunited with him in the mid 90's after over 10 years of not seeing him.. .

first of all...jws don't think they are superior to everyone....they do make mistakes...even at the kh they make mistakes no matter what meeting you go to but they all laugh it off and continue and admit their mistakes...one previous meeting a jw brother was reading ahead of schedule in the come be my follower book, before the end of first paragraph he corrected himself, joked about it and went to the correct page and paragraph....only people who want to be "children" about things would do such a thing as being a bully about things as the first original poster did...i'm sure you would have been one of those ones that ridiculed jesus too...tons of people thought jesus was crazy...people today even think he don't exist...or he was just a good man, not the son of god...thats great too...again the free will thing comes to place...people choose to be bullies...people choose to atheists...people choose to be kind towards one another...people choose to be christians...people choose to do stupid stuff that leads them to go to jail/prison...no person on this earth is greater than their master..in which in christian faith is jesus...so if people listened to jesus if people "bullied" jesus....than people are going to listen to christians and take heart...people are going to "bully" on christians and stone them to death figuratively and literally...

i have been at kingdom hall that does say going to college and vo tech is ok so the elders and the CO will not have a problem with me..in fact not a jw...and not an unbaptized publisher so won't be getting into trouble anyway...what i meant by jehovah doesnt have a set date for armageddon if you would read my whole post is that no one...not even jws set dates for these things...the whole date thing people have actually misunderstood as a whole...the whole date things are actually when major things have happened thats the whole thing that the jws talk about...the whole date issue that a lot of people seem to be saying that jws are "false prophets" is a whole misunderstood concept all together...in fact there was i do believe a wt that had the cover of such years and told about the dates in depth this was i do believe either in a 5, 10, 20 year span..."IT HAPPENS ON JEHOVAH'S TIME (IN WHICH HE HAS A SET DATE...SORRY I DIDN'T MAKE MYSELF CLEAR!!!)
What i'm so sick and tired of is seeing people say that jws beliefs are such and such and its not true..they wear jewelry MOST OF THEM i see do...so apparently jws don't think jewelry are demon possessed or whatever you want to call it...
jws HAVE A HIGHER EDUCATION LEVEL....the elders on the platform even say its ok to go to college and vo-tech...most do to get a job outside of flipping burgers and such low paying jobs.
bible characters...and saying one doesn't believe in story of noah and the flood...first off on the noah and the flood would anyone like it if someone heard your life story and ur dead and gone years maybe milleniums later and say I'm sorry i dont think this person existed nor did this whole account happened....but yet, hey guess what you really existed and it did happen??? the whole flood account i find it pretty amazing that its all throughout no matter what denomination....no matter where you come from...no matter what religion....there's different variations of the flood account i guess you would call them legends?? or something of that sort...i do believe it was either a wt/awake or perhaps a jw publication that it did state the different types of flood accounts...but all in all no matter who or what or where all over theres a thing about the flood account...
bible characters did not live in a world that's different from ours...sure they may not have the technology that we do now...the styles have been updated today...but they had the same struggles as most of us have....they had the same feelings...they had temptations...there were homosexuals...different religions...religious teachers...incestry (as there is plenty of that now)...pagan celebrations...divorces...people marrying and having children...drinking...they had laws in which not obeyed went to jail/prison....they had records...musical instruments....places of worship...they even have jobs some were carpenters (in which most people today need a higher education for) people wanting other people's mates....everything is pretty much what it was in bible times except technology is here we have vehicles now, instead of horses and having to walk for miles on end...no longer have scrolls to write on...lol...still have pen/pencil paper, we have computer, laptops, cell phones now...just to name a few of technologies that weren't in bible times...we updated clothes, hair, and uses of makeup...we're a more lazy generation of course than in bible times i'm sure most of us would be fit if we lived in bible times...lol...

What Are Some Of The Dumbest Beliefs JW's Have?
by minimus ini know there are a lot.. one belief i never understood is that blood fractions might be ok for a christian but not "whole blood".
to me the "blood doctrine" is ridiculous from a scriptural point of view..

the truth changes....ok, not sure of what truth changes but if you could please point them out to me id love to see this along with the wt/awake article that you seen this in as well please...well...unless of course your meaning they no longer have cross...no longer celebrate holidays as they were back in the good old days way back before most of our times...i'd whether have jws things change as they see that it is wrong and point out in the scriptures where they come up with this whether then have most of religion teaching the same thing and the religious teachers know its a lie to even teach their people so they can get paid mega dollars..such as people burning in hell...jesus is god...most everybody having a cross when its a pagan origin has absolutely nothing to do with jesus like most religions think...and even if it was a cross that jesus died upon...i'm sorry folks if you want to have something in your house that a friend or a relative of yours died on along with false pretenses that your friend or loved one died for go ahead...most of my friends died in car crashes i'm sorry i'm not going to have a carving of a tree with the car that my friends died in nor a lil charm of a tree with the car that again they died in to remember them by....

do you think that the people who got destroyed in the flood do you think that they saw the evidence that the flood was coming? no not really...they saw the evidence when it was again a lil bit too late...they wanted to go into the ark...but no matter if noah wanted to keep the door open jehovah closed the door.
again nothing has to do with our sight. true christians, i dont care if your jw, baptist, catholic, and so forth...people who are honestly living a christian way of life, (sure there are people who are hypocrites...people who are living a double life...no matter what religion you know...as long as each and every one of us are human we will make mistakes..there will be hypocrites in EVERY religion...we will ALL be sinnin everyone who is a christian i dont care what denomination you are but most everyone knows we walk by faith, not by sight. Who's to say Paradise is not something that most people believe it to be? It's going to be earth that Jehovah intended it to be, gardenlike just like Eden. Sure Paradise might be a place for people who do make it there to clean up a bit, but when it's a finished project it could be a beautiful place. I honestly look forward to the resurrections of people...people who we have come to know and love dead....but alive again before our very eyes, not that the resurrections in the bible are not touching now...but to personally experience a resurrection of just at least one loved one would be a miracle in itself...

well...jw female can wear pants....for one thing i've seen jw females out and about in pants/jeans/shorts...you name it...i've seen people go to the kingdom hall with their work clothes on and also some jws as well because they just got off of work and they're not in suit and ties and dresses..
i know jws who are firefighters, cops, teachers, and doctors so saying that their beliefs say they can't be any of these things are wrong as well. because i have honestly seen a watchtower/awake magazine saying that its ok to be such things.
