  The goodbye I got from a Witness "friend"

  so i decided to look up an old witness friend on facebook.

  he accepted my friend request but a few hours later he sent me this message:.

  it seems to me that things with you have simply gone further astray.

  JW Urban Legands

  in my congregation we have many urban legands, like the one about the smurf doll jumping out of a girls lap and running out of the kh because it couldn't stand to hear the good news.

  we also had one where a sister was out in fs and a dog talked, it told a sister not to knock on this one door, the sister went to the house and knocked anyway, and the doors and windows of the house flew open and dishes flew out, the sister was scared and ran away and the dog yelled at her retreating back "i told you not to got here!

  I've heard stories of animals talking too,out in service. One story it was a crow someone owned.

  And then, there is the story of the warlock, who told a Witness the demons told him that the reason so many young ones leave the organization is because since their children, the demons', died in the flood. They are doing everything they can to make Witness children leave Jehovah.

  Saddening and Inspiring...

  ok, so we received our new copy of crisis of conscience (since my previous copy was lent out and never returned) and me and the wifey have been reading it together for the past couple nights.

  i have read the book before, and know the shock felt when you read about certain things in the organization.

  she admits to having lingering thoughts and feelings of guilt for leaving perhaps the only true religion.

  Thanks for sharing. I cried while reading CoC, and I'm still reading it. It's taking me so long, because it's just so hard to deal with all the emotions of discovering the truth about the "truth".

  It is very rare for a man to look good in a bow tie. It's kind of a nerdy look to me,now those skinny leather ties from the 80's...lol

  I remember a couple years ago, someone bringing a news story out in service. It was an experience a couple had of Prince coming to their door and preaching to them. It was from his hometown. I'm sorry, I don't remember much else about the article.

  But, I can't see him sticking around in the org. He never seemed to like to follow rules of recording contracts. I doubt, he will follow the strict rules of the Watchtower.

  Yes, if a person is famous before they become a Witness. Most of the Witnesses think it's just wonderful. But, a baptized Witness trying to pursue any artistic talent are viewed as worldly and looked down upon.

  I really enjoyed Br. Prince's phallic guitar playing a couple Super Bowls ago.

  DID ANYONE ELSE JUST FEEL THAT EARTHQUAKE??

  i'm sitting here working away and about half an hour ago, i felt everything start to shake.

  i thought "what the heck is that?

  " they're doing construction next door so i thought maybe that was it, but apparently, we just had a earthquake here in southern ontario and quebec.. anyone else feel it?.

  No marriage for those resurrected. Never made sense to me, or anyone I know for that matter. Even the most hardcore dub, finds this teaching hard to accept.
