Ah yes, I wish I could miss the nights I will be called on to pray, but I know I will elders on my case right away. Whenever I have the last meeting part in the SM, I memorize some BS ahead of time to spew out. Hate to do it, but no choice.

I am still very much "in" and an MS and I hardly ever pray. I try hard to get into the habit but I just can't. I really don't see the benefit of it, and I agree that a "god" doesn't really need to be told how great and how almighty he is. I have and still do pray in the congregation, and I don't like it one bit!

Still everyone has their own explanation of what Christianity is and is not, do you agree? And trying to find the correct explanation is like trying to find the answer to the question "which came first? the chicken or the egg?"

I heard that no GB member was present at the one from August 10-12, but a high profile Bethel brother, one that's involved in organizing and teaching some of the schools gave a talk.

@ Sulla, I agree with you my friend, but "actual Christianity" means something different to everyone and each has their explanation of Christianity, thus the thousands of sects (including JWs).

This was in this week's Watchtower, first paragraph. The whole article was about how you should not pursue any worldly interests and give priority to kingdom interest. Bunch of BS! And of course they have the picture of the "happy" pioneers, Sister Hardly Smiling, Sister Anorexic, and Brother Window Washer.

Sounds similar to our BH, the same old BS. Thankfully I wasn't giving it!
i have been on this site daily, almost from its beginning, since i left the jws in 2001, but i have been more of a reader than a poster, as you can see from my post count.
i know few here know me, although i know many of you through reading your posts.
maybe it is not right to ask for support, when i generally stay quietly in the background of this forum, but i want only to speak a human misery of the deepest kind.
My thoughts are with you Truman...I wish I could do something to ease your pain, but all I can say is hang in there...
Reading your posts brought tears to my eyes...sorry to see you have to go through this hell.
