so i have been a jw for yyeeaarrrrs :o(.
but it just hit me tonight during the prayer.
all you ever hear during the prayer is,.
I remember the last convention we went to; the brother at the podium was like "Jehovah's people are the happiest in the world", I looked at my hubby like WTF?? Is he craaazzzy! More than half our congregation was on depression meds.
Anyway they have to keep perpetuating the Us against the World attitude, and they make themselves seem like victims. If they are not happy then its because of the world, not because of the fact that they are total slaves for the WT society and are isolated from nieghbors and family, yeah right.
I don't think people really notice the negativety until the WT spell is broken. Peace Lilly

I do not deny the divinity of Christ, just so you know. But the trinity doctrine was developed later. If a Christian accepts Christ as the Lord of their Life but is struggling to fully understand the trinity concept, does that make them any less a Christian than I am? I do not think so. Peace Lilly

I would like to add to my above comments;
The doctrine of the trinity was developed not only to explain the nature of God (one that is triune) but also to combat heresies in the church such as Arianism, which is the belief that Jesus is the highest of God's created beings and thus is referred to as god but not the God.
