  hampster, you should find the Mormon vidoe of the Prodigal Son. It is very entertaining to compare to the JW one.

  But yes, they are just copying them, LDS has been using videos for years, they even broadcast the general conference on the website.

  last week out in service i saw an elder wearing a jw.org pin.

  and thought.....hmmm isn't this idol worship?

  what a double standard.....it's ok to promote the borg with a pin...but not ok to promote jesus by wearing a. cross?.

  Bethel experiences sound like a prison sentence.Why even go?

  when i read about bethel experiences my mind go to the show locked up raw!.

  why would someone subject themselves to this without commeting a crime.. the wife and i went to see bethel in broklyn a few years ago and it was unlike anything i expected.

  very cold.. went the bosert hotel and was talking to a brother there and asked how long he had been there, he said 25 years...i asked how old he was.

  Surreal experience last night.

  recently a jw friend that my wife & i knew 3 years ago added me on facebook, after i accepted the request she invited me to a dinner that her and her husband are holding next month.. i imagined that she was unaware of our apostasy, so i declined the invitation on the basis of not wanting to ruin her dinner after the rest of her guests fled at our presence.. i'm never sure how old friends will react when i tell them that i'm no longer a jw.. usually their response is "..... permanent-silence......".

  her response went something like this, " we are all out!

  everyone that is coming is out we all look forward to seeing you guys so much" it turns out that there will be 6 people at the dinner all friends of ours from a congregation that we attended a few years back.. they have all left the organization recently.. pretty crazy experience..

  this was posted in the men's room stall, i hear the instructions in the womens room was more detailed.. this was in addition to having a "bathroom attendant" handing out 1 paper towel per person.. i haven't felt so childish since i was in grade schooll, i had to wonder if all the tall people around me were really grown men and women.. .

  Wow, I posted this 4 years ago. This was the second to last Convention I attended. I imagine it's gotten worse since then.

  I believe this was the same convention that had "brothers" handing out paper towels to dry you hands with. Presumably to make sure you didn't take too many.

  Firstly, is this from the 2014 convention? It has absolutly no substance, but I guess that is what the org is these days.

  Secondly, What is it with all the recent videos that show amazingly expensive/luxurious houses. Is what the NS is to them, beautifully decorated with modern funiture? I guess that was the house she called while in FS?
