" the phrase is sometimes recorded as primum nil nocere.some businesses have adopted this aphorism into their day to day psyche, one such example being the airline industry.

this is so deeply ingrained that here in the uk, many observers opine that the uk's national health service ought to adopt the same psyche as the airline industry and incorporate the "first, do no harm" into day to day practice as a priority.but what about non-medical and non-airline organisations?

NB Nurses & Doctors have long worked to that maxim. When I trained it was the first thing you were taught. If only the Wtbts would do so many lives & much heartache would be spared.

It would have been much better if they'd shown her wanting to buy an ice cream and then seeing another child without one and buying the other child an ice cream and watching the pleasure on the other child's face, More realistic and in my opinion a lot more effective in teaching a child about generosity.

Isn't it funny how we humans derive such pleasure from giving...I mean real almost physical pleasure in particular when we SEE the results of our generousity. WT plays on that inbuilt response to pry large amounts of cash - no donation too small & no donater too poor. I was more furious reading about the African bros & sistren who are so poor they give 1 third of their small garden produce. They attend their patch after work....backbreaking....then walk miles to hand it in & these ba$t@rd$ ACCEPT it.

Lumbar Puncture

the hospital and people here are amazing.

My thoughts are with you...in that ward with you..with its funny smell..bustling staff walking 'at the double'always on a mission. I can only imagine what it must be like to have a child with cancer, my son had a major op in Great Ormand street on his skull & that was bad enough. I worked as a nurse in paediatric haematology for 4 years, that was enough..all my patients are seared inmy memory. Glad you have competent doctors & modern treatments, it gets bdtter year on year. So so glad the prognosis is good..,enjoy your son.

We humans feel so much pain as parents..but we wouldn't have it any other way. We would never swap our loved ones for "perfect"ones - we love them just as they are. Human hugs xxx

Two JWs visited

i just had two female jws visit, one in their 30s and the other about 20. .

they invited me to their convention to learn about jesus, they said it is three days long but i don't need to attend every day and she highlighted one session at 11.15am where i could learn about jesus.. i said to her that i wouldn't be interested in attending the convention because i believed what a man called rutherford said about religion being a snare and a racket.

they wanted to know who this rutherford guy was and after explaining knew who i was talking about.

I said to her that these men professed to be anointed to which she said 'they are anointed'. I said to her that it we were not in a position to make judgement over these men and say definitively that they are, instead only God and Jesus had that authority to make that judgement. She was flabbergasted

Perhaps you could mention that a GB member was quietly removed as a homosexual (Leo Greenlees?). Not to mention all the peadophile Elders. I guess the HS was having a day off the day they were appointed or they are just deluded or egotistical by saying they are anointed.

The Searcher Has a great post on Christ as mediator fairly recently. I cannot find it tho', maybe pm him ?

it is a 668 page document, but it is very interesting.

all the recommendations they make are in harmony with what all other institutions will accept.

Would it not be fantastic if the UK was next then the U.S. For the victims, yes, but the adverse publicity would create a snowball effect whereby further cultish practises within the WT would be newsworthy items.
