"Just don't overthink the truth"
by stuckinarut2 inso after almost a year of complete inactivity and non attendance, i ran into a nice brother from the local congregation.. after some nice chit-chat, he says "we really miss you and your family...etc...you were always the kind and supportive one, the approachable and encouraging one in the congregation.
your absence has confused so many".
i thanked him and said "oh no, no individual has stumbled us.

Evolution is a Fact #37 - Testicles

a mass of power and signal cables connect the various pieces of equipment in very specific ways.

Vidquin The most logical reason is that the RLN design is due to developmental constraints. Eminent embryologist Professor Erich Blechschmidt wrote that the recurrent laryngeal nerve's seemingly poor design in adults is due to the "necessary consequences of developmental dynamics," not historical carryovers from evolution.
?????? " necessary consequences of developmental dynamics" ....this in no way contradicts our evolutionary history as being the cause of these " developmental dynamics" . Its essentially a meaningless sentence.
Can you explain why it is "logical" that we should develop that way then????

Dutch branch refuses to meet with LGBT rights organization.
by Anders Andersen inin the wake of the anti-gay cartoon, the coc (dutch lgbt rights organization) invited watchtower netherlands to discuss how watchtower is dealing with lgbt people in their ranks.
focus of the meeting would be on making sure lgbt jw feel safe and fully accepted.. today several newspapers are reporting that the branch declined the invitation, stating that they 'can't imagine lgbt jw feeling unsafe.
the branch won't talk to coc, but they might discuss internally with lgbt jw.'.

Good for COC....taking the higher moral ground by offering support and guidance to WT regarding the recent video. That's an example of real brotherly love, not just getting angry and slamming WT for their ignorance but reaching out to them to help.
WT would do well to learn from their example.

Questions for JW's from Christians
by Perry ini'm thinking of printing a tract with some simple but thought-provoking questions for people to use when jw's come to their doors.
questions from christians.
bible-believing christians appreciate the moral values of jehovah’s witnesses in their communities but have several questions that somehow seem to escape us when we are caught unexpectedly at our doors.

As to the question why convert a Christian from one form of Christianity to another, there are 3 answers.
1. Cults are damaging.
2. Deaths from the blood issue
3. Shunning loved ones
There are 3 good ones to be going on with...whether you are religious or not.

Carol1111 what an excellent point I had never thought of that.
Perry Good idea. There are already some web pages etc directed at JWs and written by Christians but something written by an exJW is going to understand their way of thinking that much better. I think a leaflet specifically dealing with the blood issue from a Christian perspective would be really beneficial too....its about saving lives after all.

Dogs always choose their owners, that's how its supposed to work. My dogs have always chosen me. Anyone who knows dogs knows that.
They choose us millennia ago...we are alike. Born to hunt...born to run our prey down. Beautiful.

Wow. I had such terrible stark thoughts...that we are essentially alone. That no love is utterly unconditional. Everyone has their breaking point. I read about a wrestler today who murdered his wife and child then killed himself.....he was suffering from end stage Alzheimer's and had the brain of an 85 yr old in his late 30s.
I used to disapprove of stem cell research...using babes parts to help cure a disease of the old....except of course its not only the old. Then when I nursed families with Alzheimer's I realised its the single most god awful cruel disease on this planet.I'm so sorry you have gone through that....your poor mother, it would have killed her to know how she would treat her beloved babies at the end. Try to find it in your heart to forgive her...it sounds insane but your anger is real understandable and utterly valid.
How I hate that disease.🌹

Actually I think shunning is much worse than it used to be in the 70s and 80s. They never openly told family's to shun each other back then.
