  What actually happened AFTER Jesus zoomed up into the clouds and disappeared?

  what happened after jesus zoomed up into the sky?for a while, he was expected to return rather quickly.in the meantime, there was the “great commission” and evangelism to be tended to.. the jesus believers were meeting in people's homes.

  members of that community would take turns using private homes to gather.

  thus, they went house to house.. these footstep tracers of jesus (they called themselves akolouthontes "followers" or some called themselves mathetai or "learners.

  You get notice. All bethelites get billed every month for “services” like phone calls. I call bullshit on the bill for fruit. The only exception would be if he were df’d. Then you are given a buss ticket and shown the door immediately, your possessions shipped to you later. Still no bill for food though.

  Morpheus I believe they got notice of a few weeks, 3? But two months earlier a meeting was called and they were told they we're being" reassigned" probably to Bethels abroad to 'help out' there. It makes me wonder if they planned to lie to everyone as to what became of the "sacked" bethelites as:There was no indication whatsoever they were going to be laid off. This only two months before they actually were.

  Regarding the fruit, there May have been a misunderstanding as he certainly doesn't strike as the sort of lad to lie, he certainly hasn't done so about anything else.

  chapter 31. murder suicide and death at the big house.

  the people at bethel were killing us spiritually and sometimes they killed us physically too.. many of the old timers were in the infirmary laying there just waiting to die of natural causes.

  some had served there for over fifty years.

  That poor sweet child. Nineteen. Serving his GOD. I imagine going awol must have been a huge deal....surely they could see he must have been desperate. GOD help his parents if they ever woke up, which is doubtful.

  I wonder if Wheelock felt remorse about his colleague who was stabbed in his place? Or if he just woke up?

  Explosion on London Train

  there was an explosion on a london tube train at parsons green station at 8:20 bst this morning.. there are pictures online of a plastic bucket that seems to be the source.

  witnesses are reporting seeing a large wall of flames coming through a packed train carriage.

  people are now being taken to ambulances with significant burns..

  i was told this when i was an aspiring jw, aka unbaptized publisher.

  the above explanation didn't make sense to me then and it never did make sense throughout my jw career.

  over time, it appeared to me the real purpose of field service time reporting was to gauge one's spirituality and for the ceo *cough* co to make sure the elders were on top of things during his visit..

  I have no problem with a works based form of Christianity. But if JWism is a works based form, why not record the works you do....visiting the sick, doing chores for the elderly, donating to a food bank for the poor.

  Why?

  Because none of that helps the finances of the Watchtower babble and CRAP Society.

  They always talk about blood having to be "poured out on the ground" and the blood of Jesus being "poured out as a sin offering" on behalf of mankind.

  But Jesus blood was never literally poured out, and the blood poured out as a sin offering was never intended for Christians to do.

  Most of all, as has been noted, David and his men ate meat with the blood in extremis, because the symbol is less important than the life itself.

  Help! Mike & Kim videos all being deleted by Youtube

  due to watchtower flagging the mike & kim videos on youtube for copyright, youtube is giving them 6 days before they are shutting down their entire youtube channel.

  can you help with a mass downloading program and then reuploading them on a mirror ?

  would hate to lose all those good videos!

  Redvip2000 I know what you mean, they can be a bit melodramatic. But they kinda grow on you. And we have to fight watchtower with whatever talents we have. They have comedy!!!

  Venus that was beautiful - I really, really enjoyed reading it. I particularly loved your comparison of Watchtowers egotistical belief that they are the chosen with the same nonsense a Semitic tent swelling nomadic tribe felt ( ironically jws would secretly gloat at that comparison whilst feeling offended at the same time!)
