Yes particularly in America the criminal justice system is utterly broken.

full time student back to James, In WW2 he was captured on Crete by the German army and imprisoned in a concentration camp. During the early period of imprisonment he became an atheist. He later escaped and lived in the hills for a few years until rescued from the island by a British submarine,
Whoa!!!! I’ve read some stuff about these guys. He must have been one resourceful, tough dude! All Australasian, these guys did some pretty amazing things during WW2. There were quite a few New Zealander’s parachuted in and chosen for their ability to blend in apparently these were soldiers who spoke Greek....but get this, it was koine Greek or Ancient Greek which led to quite some hilarity amongst the locals.

No Need To Preach In Every Country Anymore
by pale.emperor inspeaking to a pimo from my hometown yesterday.
he told me that in the watchtower study (10 nov 2019) regarding “the great tribulation” the elder on the platform said that there’s no need for jws to preach in every country in order to fulfil the prophecy, and therefore the org has already fulfilled that prophecy.
and that there’s nothing else left to wait for now but for “the great tribulation” to come.. gasps of delight came from the audience.. has anyone else heard this?

zoos remember something about their referring to "community responsibility", which I think (and always did) is totally unjust and unfair. What if a really kind, loving, self-sacrificing, humble, truth-hungry person happened to live in a "bad" community and this person never received a witness? Is he going to get a hailstone between the eyes at the big A?
This ^^^^^^^^^ They’ve stated that the leaders of these countries under ban bear responsibility for their people’s death. Whaaaaa? The punishment is death for the people and death for the leaders, what is fair and just about that?
Not to mention the millions of unborn children who will be terminated.
seems to me Jehovah is a typical abuser..blames the victim.

Ooooo Truth-be-known I like it
I wonder if they read this to the kids during citizenship classes? I’ll ask my boys (they’re in bed). I think it’s very interesting, bringing out that 7th point.
Ive had mostly good experiences of the old bill. A member of my family and her little girl were brutally attacked in their home and the police did everything they could. I mean they were really exceptional. The perp fled abroad and he took a paracetamol overdose. The nearest liver unit was London kings cross....the very ward I worked on. He was flown back to the UK and arrested at Heathrow. I took leave as I couldn’t work on the unit with him there, I couldn’t risk having to care for him.
On one occasion my husband was mugged and beaten up, the guy took £80 and our house keys. We got the keys back but not the money!!! The tragic thing is they caught him and I tried to tell an officer how dangerous he was .....get this, the cop was angry with me and had pity for the culprit since he was only 18!! Problem was, he got out and 6 weeks later his next victim wasn’t so lucky....he died. I was going to go to the press but I thought it would only hurt the family more.
Two under cover cops also saved my dogs life (when we were much younger). She was run over as she was crossing the road with my husband. It as very late at night and we needed to get her to the Blue cross....fast. They pulled up, shoved her in the car and blue lighted to the Blue cross in Victoria. I could have kissed them.

Your thoughts?

The cohort of non Jehovah’s Witness patients was vastly larger than the Jehovah’s Witness cohort and I can tell you now that patients with potentially the worst outcomes, who won’t take blood, the doctors won’t touch with a barge pole. The cohort of JW patients will be generally fairly healthy relative to many of the other patients. Not to mention the JW patients will have had far better pre surgical care, which in and of itself will lead to better outcomes.
It may be that in the instance of elective surgery, avoiding blood transfusions and or keeping the heart beating (in the case of heart surgery) does indeed lead to better outcomes. But that doesn’t negate the fact that if you need blood due to any number of reasons including trauma and cancer nothing but blood will do.

Dealing With Smelly People
by minimus ini can never understand why some people simply stink.they don’t smell themselves??
i knew of certain jws that had to be counseled many times because they refused to regularly bathe, wash their hair or use deodorant.
and it’s not just witnesses.

I had a maths teacher, a very sweet woman, but utterly unable to control the class.
Anyway she was an otherwise very clean lady but she obviously had a medical issue with excessive under arm perspiration. And to make it worse she had a fondness for silk shirts, which is absolutely the worst thing to wear if you sweat a lot since you would see huge wet stains under arm. Poor lady, the other kids would make the nastiest comments which I hated. The worst thing was the more cruel they were, the more upset she got and the more she perspired.
In the chemist they sold (and still do) a super strong antiperspirant deodorant for people with this problem and I tried to get up courage to tell her about it but always chickened out in the end.
Most people who smell to the point others are offended almost certainly suffer with depression.

Huge JW storyline (blood) on Chicago Med (US TV Show)
by tresdecu inanyone else watch chicago med last night??
one of the writers had a bone to pick...made the dubs look like a cult.
(not hard to do, i know) very realistic, and they got all the lingo right.

that for real? Sounds like a JW writer on the show, if you ask me! Seriously, sounds like something JW Broadcasting would come up with to make the "World" look bad, and also as some sort of lesson as to what happens when you leave Jah's Organization. (GAG)
No they like complex, layered storylines. The parents don’t really want him to die, so to save him and salve their consciences, they walk out. It makes them look bad to anybody else, but actually it’s the kindest thing believing JW parents can do. Let’s face it we all know JW parents who would demand no blood as next of kin, whether their kid was a dub still or not.
And the patient getting mad at the doctor is a nice little plot twist.*
* NB haven’t seen the show, just surmising as a fan of ”The Craft” as they term screen writing😉

Selling KH to another religion
by blondie ini found this question box in the july 1969 km.
question box (july 1969, p. 4).
• is it all right to buy a church building for use as a kingdom hall or, when a new kingdom hall is built, to sell the former hall for use as a church?
-
Diogenesister
It’s ok to sell and buy because ultimately that’s all about making profit for Watchtower. But no renting....we don’t want our donations going into someone else’s pockets!!

If I was still PIMI, I'd be terrified
by neat blue dog injust looking at the pictures in tomorrow's wt study makes me think of the nightmares i used to have as a child.
and nowadays the pictures are sometimes more realistic, so for any who are truly mentally in, this has a terrible effect on them and even their life choices.
looking in as a pimo or pomo it seems almost comical that adults would believe in this sci-fi bible fan-fiction, but it's not funny when we remember that all ages of the r&f are being manipulated by the gb by these cheap and evil means.. .

Didn`t one Angel kill off 185,000 in one night ?
In actual fact Hezekiah just paid them off. So many barrels of gold etc (the Bible briefly mentions bunging Sennacherib's Assyrian army some silver but in Sennacherib writings it was a good deal more than the Bible admits. The few dead on the field were likely their own people, captives.

Spirit creatures with facial hair?? Why do spirit creatures need hair to keep them warm, and prevent sweat getting into their eyes or .....nether regions etc? 🤔
