James Jack Happy 1st birthday!
I'm so sorry you are going through this. I too didn't save, although I tried to buy a property fwhen I was very young I was so naive I got fleeced trusting the person I went into it with. I did get a sort of education young because I didn't agree with the JW view of charity and I wanted to work for Medicines sans frontiers or Medicine Sur le monde etc
I suppose the positive is that you're alive to enjoy life. There are those who don't make it to our age or, worse, were so distraught they couldn't "live up" to Watchtower's fake so-called standards they took their own lives, or were even victims of Judge Rutherford's medical foibles.
It's hard, I know, to struggle through weakening health in order to make ends meet. I take it you have a happy marriage - something good did then come out of the Org? I know many folks who like to see it that way. Do you have children? If so, I'm glad for you! Like Ray Franz I believe that's the most egregious thing the org did to many folks...deny them the right to feel happy about bringing a family into the world. I know it was his greatest regret (have you read his books, by the way? He too had to do manual work in his late 60s in order to make ends meet. If not please do read them).
As to faith communities may I recommend Eric's you tube channel at Beroean Pickets also David and Vivian Aspinall. They will have details of their Zoom meetings where there is no talk of hell and the usual things that trigger many exJW yet they accept all view points.

from Sir Anthony Hopkins....from exjw reddit
by zachias inwise words from sir anthony hopkins.
′′let go the people who are not prepared to love you.
this is the hardest thing you will have to do in your life and it will also be the most important thing.

Decide that you deserve true friendship, commitment, true and complete love with healthy and prosperous people.
That just niggles at me. Does it mean that if people aren't at your level of success (or God forbid, health) it's not worth your time associating with them?
Most of what he says is bang on, but there's an underlying message that unnerves me. It doesn't mean that his words will have that affect on you, you may dismiss my fears as needy and clingy or the fears of an unsuccessful looser. But there you are. That's just me.

Are they forcing kids to be vaccinated in the USA? I'm a nurse but there's no way I'd allow my 15 year olds to be vaccinated without far more data in areas like fertility etc

Near the beginning in Northern Ireland he's talking about November the 5th, Bonfire night Guy Fawkes 😂happens all over Britain. We all celebrate the brutal murder of a Catholic terrorist who tried to blow up the Houses of Parliament. We then make a stuffed replica of a human being and then set it alight😂

Did you think this was it for the Watchtower-(Covid)- Well-They are coming back with even greater ZEAL!
by pistolpete inso you all probably heard that the awake magazine is back, .
https://www.jw.org/en/library/magazines/?contentlanguagefilter=en&pubfilter=g&yearfilter=.
and one of my jw relatives said they were told by some elders that meetings and field service will resume before the end of the year.. they said this covid virus was a test, like when the romans breached jerusalem and retreated, only to come back later and sack jerusalem.

And Bethel will begin lifting the lockdown soon.
Just because those selfish old S.O.B. have had their two jabs...all's ok, business as usual.
If this virus had only affected kids, babies and young people there would have been no Bethel lockdown and meetings and the D2D ministry would have continued for everyone as usual, irregardless of risk !!!😠😠😠

Yah...and the Spanish Flu Pandemic of 1918 was just a test as well! :) :) :)
Yup! And if this was a test, what in heck was the Black Death in the fourteenth century??! (Oh hang on, we cured that one, too) :) :) :)

Why did Lloyd Evans say in one of his latest video
by mickbobcat inso i was watching an evans video he just put out where he was interviewing a man about how the cult treated his daughter who was rapped as a criminal.
the man said his wife's first experience with an apostate site was here.
i could tell by the look on his face he did not like that site and then could not help himself and said that he could not recommend going to this site.

saw a quote along these lines the other day, about how groups formed to object to a 'thing' end up becoming dependent on and part of the ecosystem of the 'thing', but can't remember the exact context. Wish I'd saved a reference as I thought at the time it was quite profound and likely useful.
Well there's quite a lot of gay men and women currently saying that because Stonewall et al has essentially achieved their objective, which was equal rights for gays under the law, at least in the western world, they are now driving this whole trans bandwagon. That they basically were so effective they've done themselves out of a job.
That the trans thing is a fantastic new revenue stream for them.bThis is the problem with paid activism, there's always the suspicion it's not in their interests for the issue they campaign for to disappear
Similarly what would Lloyd do if watchtower packed up and finished? Unless he was able to transfer over into mainstream journalism it would be difficult.
I think that comment by Lloyd was enormously uncharitable, particularly given the incredible part JWdotnet has played in his and others awakening over the years. It also made his guest very uncomfortable since he obviously felt this site had really helped his family
Another thing that grates my gears is that exJW Reddit has a list of the most useful resources for JWs, and not only does it not mention this site but it claims EXJWreddit itself is THE most abundant source of information on all things watchtower which is patently and laughably untrue!! This site has an enormous amount of extremely well researched information...by far the most. It even listed JWsurvey and similar places when they had just started out and had very little that wasn't available everywhere else! It's this that makes me think there was some kind of Reddit takeover by Cedars mates when they saw how big it was getting. I was there when they only had a couple thousand subscribers and the moderators suddenly changed at about 18,000 subs. I think they are incredibly controlling now. I'd like to start a new one but I don't know how to moderate.
People like the blue envelope channel come here for info to make their idiosyncratic and informative videos, because you can't find this kind of ,"long toothed"😂 watchtower wisdom anywhere else now.

GOTCHA!
by JTrottigy inso i noticed one of the members here came to my jwtalk website, where i am an important administrator, and tried to join my site.. i check in here every so often and i was able to deduce that person was an apostate fraud, likely bent on polluting my site.
i denied their request to join.. ha!

He surfaced in Florida and is considered a JW in good standing again. He just totally abandoned his family and it seems he is remarried to another JW.
I guess he's just following the 'good' example of the man Jesus chose to lead his earthly organization back in 1919.....Judge Rutherford ! Only this JW "Reginald Perrin"had the decency to marry his new sweetheart...unlike the judge who merely kept his mistress"on the side" in secret!
