So he admits that if he wasn't getting paid he wouldn't be an activist.

Lloyd, despite being a natural in front of the camera, has basically achieved a slice of fame in our tiny corner of the web almost entirely because he was smart enough to choose some really capable & dedicated volunteers to work for him. Including film makers, lawyers, professional artists & gifted researchers/amateur journalists.

Why do I say they work 'for' him & not 'with' him? Because they volunteer all their time & effort for nothing, whilst all donations go straight to him at the top.

Lloyd Evan's has obviously taken Watchtower's business model straight to heart.

Nearly complete JW literature collection for sale

as many of you know, alan feuerbacher spent 40 years researching watchtower.

during that time, he bought every item of watchtower literature he could find.

his collection is so big that it’s impossible for me to try to catalog it, although i might be able to get some volunteers to help me with that.

Be careful whom you sell them to, whatever you do. How about Watchtower History. I'll let them know. Would you be willing to sell me a few individual books please? I'm really really desperate to get hold of the 1947 Awake that declared excommunication as unscriptural, Nov '67 Watchtower magazine, The 1927 Creation Book, October 1966 Awake Magazine.

Do you have any of these? I will leave them in my will to a suitable safe organization or uni that studies cults.

Simon I think IF a branch person was there it is more likely todo with the claim that Lloyd had something over them that he believed he could use to "make a deal".

It sounds a bit like Scandinavia, then, with English the second language. So the translation thing definitely doesn't make sense.

He probably pulled his usual stunt of threatening people to ensure he gets his own way. Hence the Branch Committee guy was called in by the local elders..

I do remember he didn't want the elders putting any pressure on his in-laws and definitely didn't want elder's causing problems over the fact he lived with his in-laws.

He probably said to them you cause any problems for my in laws and I will publicize the fact my father made sure I wasn't disfellowshipped for cheating on my wife. In other words I'll tell the Croation witnesses about "elder privilege & elder kid privilege"

Aude Sapere perhaps a more significant topic to be discussed was his inappropriate behavior with girls in the hall and girls on the phone.

Or... There was Bethel Branch Manager present to act as an interpreter since Lloyd apparently does not speak Croatian very well.

I remember being very surprised at the time that Lloyd didn't record his judicial meeting. He'd been making videos around the whole waking up process. Everyone was recording their judicial's, at the time, and posting them online. It was very bizarre to have this big lead up.....to nothing. I definitely think it was because he didn't want his sexual proclivities broadcast. The ego was still at a containable level at this point😂 Admitting to porn is one thing, admitting to regular adultery another.

The Branch dude was probably there for translation purposes OR because elders in the local area had conflict of interest due to close ties with Dijana and her family? That could be a reason they needed an "out-of-towner" maybe?

Kim One thing that really stood out in your interview with Andrew is that whilst you have always corrected anyone posting unfair or incorrect things about Lloyd, he stood by a watched the pile on taking place on you and never once intervened when someone attacked you for things you had not done.

He also never fails to wave the fact 'Producer Bob' is a pseudonym. That she definitely wants to remain anonymous and he does it in such a way as to be an obviously veiled threat. As in: I'm being so 'gracious' as to NOT reveal her identity for now.

Both of these behaviours really reveal to me what sort of person he is.

I know she's really clever, knows her stuff and doesn't accept any BS but I find her videos difficult to listen to sometimes😂

I'm so pathetic I find in person confrontation really difficult and uncomfortable listening.....even on the phone😂

Bridget challenges the beliefs of JWs and most of them are so robotic, either they answer as they've been trained to or, most commonly, don't even know the doctrine of their own religion. They certainly don't know Watchtower history.

But what I find most discomfiting is that many of them will intentionally mislead Bridget if asked a difficult question. But she always challenges them on that! It's really shocking how many witnesses will straight up lie.....knowingly break a commandment with absolutely no shame. It's difficult listening if you're an ex witness.

Occasionally she gets one that's willing to engage genuinely and that doesn't intentionally mislead or lie. That becomes very interesting because she can almost hear the cogs turning. They will often deflect, as they're trained to do, but you know she's planted something there.

He has also made some comments on here I believe about writing the forward for Lloyd's second book that were suspect. He claimed that Lloyd could be earning a lot more in the secular world but cared so much about the exJW cause he was essentially taking a pay cut.

You've got to be kidding me! He actually wrote that? C'mon Paul.

That '2nd book' was another dubious act from Lloyd and I'd be surprised if Paul doesn't know why.

A dude called 'The Great Apostate' (Neil) wrote a book about 'How to leave Jehovah's Witnesses'. He was very public about doing so and that it would be a free book to help PiMOs. Just after he published it, lo and behold Lloyd started to do exactly the same thing except he charged for the book AND started advertising for people to add their stories in the back!!! £200 no less!!

I've noticed he refers to himself as a journalist now. I think that's a bit of a stretch merely for writing blog posts, given he has no training in the field.

I've actually always thought it would was Marc O'Donnell who had the real literary talent on JW survey.Lloyd's gift is definitely being front of camera, rather than as a writer.

It's strange because the megathread on Reddit has been 70 - 30 % reporting people happy to go back.

I think most people are saying numbers are down. Some areas/KH don't even allow zoom hook ups any more. In person meetings are insisted upon which is incredibly uncaring about the elderly given high levels of Covid. How can they switch so fast from "we lovingly don't have meetings" to "you must attend meetings or you are not spiritual".

I had no idea about this and I thought I pretty much knew most of the bonkers idea's Watchtower had over the years! Did it even occur to them there might not be an atmosphere even remotely similar to ours? (never mind the temperature) .....even dinosaurs need to breathe!!!
