Does he know enough about any of these to champion a cause, on EITHER side of the argument? Does he even know as much about these as I know?

It's embarrassing how culturally & politically uninformed he is - and that would be ok, if he didn't pretend to be so!!

His knee-jerk reaction is whatever the liberal media spouts without ever checking the most basic of facts.

For example his attack of Joe Rogan for 'promoting horse de-wormer' long after he had been vindicated. His immediate championing of Lia Thomas and 'THE transgenders' as he puts it....managing to both offend trans rights activists AND women's rights activists in one fell swoop. Despite science establishing that going through male puberty will enable you to vastly out compete any woman - no matter how much HRT a male ingests.

Sanderson’s “Young People” convention talk

so did anyone else have the misfortune of listening to sanderson’s talk corresponding to the saturday morning convention program?.

full title is “young people - choose a path that leads to peace!”.

the basic idea is, hey you teenagers, you ought to be pioneers, wt construction workers, and/or bethelites.. i tried to put myself back in time an embarrassing number of decades…if i were in this talk’s target audience, how would i respond?.

It's just so dull. The record is stuck on repeat: don't get an education, pioneer or labour for us on our quick builds. If you do have a skill you can maybe remote Bethelite (because we're too tight to even provide your bed and board these days).

Every. Single. Time.

Nothing is even remotely interesting these days. There's no wildly imaginative Fred Franz writing crazy theories to study - with exciting end games 'just around the corner'. It's all stick and no carrot....the Yung wunz will leave in droves.

For those of you that don’t know, doctors in the US prescribe it sparingly because it accelerates significantly the people that have suicidal ideation, so if you have the wrong ‘type’ of depression, this can make it a lot worse.

They've severely cut down the prescribing of Citalopram in UK/Europe for some time now, due to the data on suicidal ideation. I imagine the reason it appears US doctors are more reticent to prescribe it now is for the same reason.

Prior to this there were huge numbers of all SSRI'S prescribed in the US - including this one.

I'm on good terms with my Primary Care Physician, and I've asked him why all the medications that could make you feel better are illegal. I would love to try ketamine or psylocibin or mescaline or bufotoxin. One of my areas of ignorance is that I have no idea how to find a pusher. Talk about socially awkward!

Nathan there are places you can go for short term treatment with psylocibin and have been for many years. It would require going abroad for you, I'd imagine, unless you can get yourself on some kind of trial in the US? NB people don't 'push' psychadelics, that's a myth, because they're not addictive.

I've only heard positive things about them from the (admittedly few) people I've met who've undertaken treatment this way.

JanI understand where you are all coming from but again l would say that until you've been there........

Jan Citalopram worked like a dream for me. The problem with them is they should be used short term and require the dosage upping after a time.

. I know in UK/EU (I used to live there) medicine get prescribed much more readily to avoid the government from more expensive treatments, but holy cow.

That's absolutely laughable that US doctors prescribe sparingly ....... in the US a doctor gives whatever the customer will pay for. That's why situations like Prince and micheal Jackson could never happen in the UK or Europe.

Lloyd coined the phrase "aggressive activism" and included public protests in this term. He did this to distinguish his type of activism as being acceptable as opposed to actions of other JWs as being unacceptable. However, what he is doing as opposed to other activists fall under the same definition

Activism? Lloyd Evans doesn't look very "active". I think it's an excuse to sit on his bum being a keyboard warrior.

When I was young we used to call it being a "protestor". It was something you did because Hou felt passionate about something and never involved financial gain - in fact usually involved a loss.

Some protests have been incredibly successful. Against apartheid, for instance. Against huge companies polluting the environment or dumping waste chemicals which cause deformaties in newborns.

Most effective campaigns involve a combination of written documents - such as petitions - and activities requiring a physical presence - such as marches or, for example, picketing the South African embassy.

Lloyd labeling protests as aggressive/regressive was just another attempt to shut down the competition. Grotesque.

Lloyd has a tendency to feature and/or converse with attractive young women. If you're an older woman or male he's not interested in "helping" you, unless you have a particular skill he needs.

Kim to answer your question: The Organization absolutely do not trust ordinary Jehovah's witnesses and I know this because Gerrit Losche outright said JWs ONLY FULLY trust Jesus & the faithful slave, yet only somewhat trust their JW 'brothers and sisters'.
