  Watchtower looses Norwegian Appeal

  watchtower has just lost its appeal in the norwegian courts over the withdrawal of the funding it receives from the government as an officially recognised religion.

  the initial decision will now stand due to what the court termed 'exclusionary practices' which includes the witnesses barbaric practice of shunning minors, even by family members in their own homes.

  the ministry of children and families have decided they are now no longer eligible for the state grant of 16 million norwegian kroner given to officially recognised religions.. the following is a statement has been issued, i have summarised if it isn't readable: .

  so, in latest developments:there was a court hearing, in which a continuance was granted for two weeks, as my bil has pleaded not guilty.

  which is, in my opinion, very bad legal advice from his lawyer.

  she is going to the Homecoming dance at her school, with her beau.

  Wonderful! I'm so happy for her! It's such a wonderful age and absolutely tragic her parents are too brainwashed to share in that joy.

  There is no excuse for that level of violence. He's loosing control and he cannot abide that. Captain please drop her any info you can....I know you want to make sure you don't alienate her, though, you're being a wonderful uncle.

  I can't with the fucking hypocrisy of Evans and the uninformed idiocy of Sturgeon AND Evans.

  The fact that 60% of "Trans women" currently residing in UK prisons ARE sex offenders seems to prove Sturgeon and Evans wrong.

  Predators will and do use any means to access & abuse women and children.

  The UK charity commission is currently investigating "Trans Kids" charity mermaids for sending out breast binders to little girls - it's subsequently been revealed one of their trustees, an academic named Breslow, is a pedophile. His fetish is castration of youths.🤬

  The fact these people seem to believe using the term 'trans' and all safeguarding for kids and women should suddenly be removed is deeply concerning.

  The same with the recently closed down kids Gender clinic The Tavistock. Telling children to keep secrets from their parents is the perfect environment for groomers to begin their work.

  like nevada in the u.s or amsterdam in europe?

  would the being unfaithful part still be a deal breaker as far as supporting his channel?

  Slim I agree JWs have had a disproportionate cultural impact, given their numbers.

  I put that down to a couple of things. It's an American, English speaking religion, which helps the spread of information. That info is ubiquitous and free of charge, with a very recognisable artistic presentation and engaging concepts story wise - Armageddon, paradise etc etc*

  Also witnesses themselves impart their culture to the wider world. Because of the way witness kids are raised - with an abundance of boredom - they learn the ability to entertain themselves. The few outlets they have, for example music (ie learning the piano), they attack with gusto & real appreciation. Witness kids are forced to be responsible and disciplined - thus there are a more than average number who excel in the arts, music, business and to a lesser degree sports etc

  *And preaching, of course. Most people have a neighbour or friend they've met through the work.

  Terrible story... The reality is that back in the 70’s child abuse was just not taken seriously, as it is today.. since it always takes place in private it was often assumed that the kid was making it up.

  Blues I'm going to have to disagree with you there. I know you're a Brit so it's not an area thing. It was because responsible adult witnesses didn't report it as ordered by Watchtower service department.

  In the seventies I was molested. I told my parents. Quick as a flash a police detective was walking me through the area and I showed him how, where and what happened. I was examined by a police surgeon. He was caught. He was convicted. As in the reported case he'd done it to other kids.

  Something also happened to my Jehovah's witness neighbour. Her parents DIDNT report it to the police.😡 (Which I wasn't aware of until fairly recently).Yes, kids were definitely less likely to be believed back then and we kids were far less watched. But often the difference between a child that was protected in the end and one that wasn't, was having an ADULT who would REPORT and Watchtower wasn't going to report no matter how many kids came forward. Some parents told them to stick it, though, thank goodness.

  Breezy I've only ever heard people claim that no, they are not. But if Serena were baptised, she surely would have been disfellowshipped because A) She had her baby out of wedlock, and B) She subsequently married a non believer.

  sadly today, many churches and religious organisations teach their followers that they are saved based on something the bible does not record.

  many people are following a lie, and are heading to a lost eternity and do not know it.. my question here is... are you saved?

  Van The sanctification process is usually quite painful.

  It starts with repentance.

  And that repentance is ongoing death to self repentance.

  The cross is an invitation to die....to yield to the indwelling Holy Spirit and let Him transform us into Christ's image marred by the fall.

  As Christians we need to continually judge ourselves against the scriptures. If we fail to judge ourselves God will judge us...because we are His children.

  For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged. But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world.

  Easy believism has no place in the life of a Christian. We are constantly on death row. How else would we be crowned?

  🤣🤣This is JW dot net!!! Every last one of us (unless we were double lifers who got out as teens) has gone through mental hell constantly judging ourselves, in an absolutely vicious manner, as the lowest form of abomination! Talk about a tax collector not lifting your eyes up - many of us didn't even feel worthy to pray. I used to dream with green eyed jealousy of the monks in the Dark Ages who could chastise themselves with a Switch daily!! I thought it must be so much easier than the guilt and mental worthlessness I felt at every thought that entered my head. Let alone each person I did not witness to, whose blood was on my hands. Even as a child I constantly chided myself and begged for forgiveness. When I was 11 I was nearly assaulted bringing food and to witness to what I thought was a "tramp" in a boarded up place. No adults around. Luckily one of his 'buddies' walked in just in time for me to make my escape. Living with my non witness father I didn't understand the witness 'no charity' thing and so strove to do real Christian works.

  But no. No JW would ever think being a Christian was a cake walk. Far from it.
