ALthough he was generous locally, he seemed to have enough sense not to leave anything to WTC headquarters. If I am wrong, someone please correct me.

Fortunately his sister was his hier and I don't think she approved of watchtower. She made sure they didn't get a dime. I think because he died so suddenly (and relatively young), he hadn't written a proper will or at least watchtower hadn't had time to start turning on the screws.

Let's just hope billionaire Serena doesn't leave her fortune to them. I've got a good idea her daughter will definitely not get indoctrinated, since her father's a non believer and no doubt she'll attend a good private school who will teach her to think critically. Serena probably never had the time to really investigate all this during her youth/career and didn't have time to attend uni. Maintaining your game at that level is a more than full time job.

I think the poor numbers and big decline will be buried under the COVID excuse. In fact it's a bit of a gift to watchtower in that sense.

I cannot tell you how infuriating this is. Typical black & white thinking from a man with zero ability to think for himself, despite his protestations to the contrary. Anything not left is "far right" yet the whole point of democracy is the right to personal views and freedom of speech. If you put those "aside" & only have the left....well, we know what that is. It seems Lloyd is only comfortable living within an authoritarian framework where contrasting views are forbidden....a media informed utopia instead of a Watchtower one.

seriously ,the reason i post this I thought it was funny how this have NO Covers charge , but didn't he charge one ,when he release is first book , and he was on a book tour ? I guess the freeloading is just for the Ex-jw community

😂 Toblerone5 that's quite a funny (and you are right he did have a cover charge for his book tour) but this word is called a homograph - "covers" in this sense means a cover of a song. A cover being an interpretation of someone else's (usually famous) song. They must play their own original music.

And yes, someone mentioned this may be an attempt to diversify. It's either a foray into becoming a music/events promotor OR it's a good way to meet the local "talent" (talent being another homograph? 😜)

Carrier doesn't have the best reputation when it comes to women, too. Anyway his patrons would have paid for that as you have to pay their appearance fee.

Would he have resigned to protect his Father's position in Watchtower?

I think if that were the case, Vintage, he would have resigned a long time ago. As LMsA said it's an inactive company and probably always has been.
I also agree with Simon that if Dijana divorced him (and there was any bad blood between them) getting child support wouldn't necessarily be a straightforward thing, particularly if he left Croatia. Establishing his having regular, reliable income could be tricky too.

Interesting that he had two positive responses. That probably wouldn't have happened twenty years ago. What's happening in Spain is really encouraging too. If we can assume he sent it to everyone in his congregation at a minimum and that his congregation was 80 to 100 strong, it might be useful to assume around 3 to 4 or even 5% of Witnesses on average are either Pimo or well on their way to being so.

More bluff.

Somebody on twitter made a post , showing that Mr. Evans junior RESIGNED doing business with Daddy Evans in april 2022.

To be fair he may have done it in response to rumours they're working/connected in some way.

They've never had a real, revenue generating business (any more than some kid doing yard work). Just more Evan's con artistry. That's probably why they never bothered changing the details.

or have they stopped publishing it?

did they released selected figures at the annual meeting as they usually do, such as the memorial attendance or record number of pioneers?

They've slipped in this poor report at the end of COVID/lockdown etc & they'll blame it on that. See! ....Our ministry really does work because when we don't do it, look what happens!

The next few reports won't be as bad so it's smart to report the biggest drops at the end of a highly unusual period in history.

In the sense that almost everything he uses for his work comes from Ray, Paul Grundy or Olaf Johansson, in the main, with work from jwdotnet alumni. He was never smart enough to work out any of this for himself

the flaw in this simplistic reasoning ought to be obvious; a human body and a steam engine are two different things.. our bodies have evolved complex systems of control and feedback loops in order to maintain a steady interior environment, also known as homeostasis.

That's Cofty you must be a mind reader. I've been trying to understand this today after watching a video about an overweight guy fasting. I think my basal metabolic rate must be really low since menopause. Ive been 8 st my whole life until then. Medication and menopause and I've gained weight and I eat and small breakfast plus one meal a day basically. I do snack at night though - yoghurt or crisps, mainly. I'm also vegetarian and have been my whole life (since 12).
