the magazine that they are studying in the congregation this month has an article at the back about how pornography in a marriage could damage the relationship.. there's one piece of advice that sounds rather scary, the wt suggests that the couple should "consider asking an elder with whom you are both comfortable to sit in and guide your discussions for a time.".
how many of you would want an elder present in your home while you and your partner discussed your personal sexual cravings and the type of porn videos being watched?.

Yes he'll point to the online Company accounts and claim his salary was nowhere near six figures after out-goings.
Except the only major out-going is his salary! 😂
hello my friends,.
here are some encouraging scriptures for the day:.
revelation 21:2 i also saw the holy city, new jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from god and prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.. hebrews 11:10 for he (abraham) was awaiting the city having real foundations, whose designer and builder is god.. revelation 21:24 and the nations will walk by means of its light, and the kings of the earth will bring their glory into it.. revelation 22:1 and he showed me a river of water of life, clear as crystal, flowing out from the throne of god and of the lamb 2 down the middle of its main street (of the holy city).
"In he square below,’ said the Happy Prince, ‘there stands a little match-girl. She has let her matches fall in the gutter, and they are all spoiled. Her father will beat her if she does not bring home some money, and she is crying. She has no shoes or stockings, and her little head is bare. Pluck out my other eye, and give it to her, and her father will not beat her.’
‘I will stay with you one night longer,’ said the Swallow, ‘but I cannot pluck out your eye. You would be quite blind then.’
‘Swallow, Swallow, little Swallow,’ said the Prince, ‘do as I command you.’
So he plucked out the Prince’s other eye, and darted down with it. He swooped past the match-girl, and slipped the jewel into the palm of her hand. ‘What a lovely bit of glass,’ cried the little girl; and she ran home, laughing.
Then the Swallow came back to the Prince. ‘You are blind now,’ he said, ‘so I will stay with you always."

a legal bid by the jehovah's witness church to get out of being part of the royal commission of inquiry into abuse in care has been dismissed by the high court in wellington.. after nearly three years of behind-the-scenes legal wrangling to avoid scrutiny from the inquiry, the church applied for a judicial review in june.. at a hearing, held earlier this month it argued it was beyond the inquiry's scope because it did not operate institutions that cared for children or vulnerable people and the inquiry had uncovered no evidence of abuse in that context.. lawyers representing the inquiry argued that jehovah's witness elders - equivalent to ministers or pastors - exercised a level of control over the congregation that allowed them access to children.. the inquiry informed abuse survivors who gave evidence to the inquiry in relation to the jehovah's witnesses of the news this afternoon.. "we have received advice from the high court that none of the causes of action brought by the jehovah's witnesses has succeeded and the application for judicial review has been dismissed.
the judge's reasons are not yet available, but are expected in the near future," the email to survivors, seen by rnz, said.. the church was the only faith-based institution in the country to legally challenge its involvement in the inquiry, although it had attempted to challenge its status in other countries where similar inquiries have also been carried out.. the inquiry said, in a statement, that the dismissal "means the royal commission can continue to investigate the jehovah's witnesses, and all other faiths, in accordance with the pastoral care approach we have been applying since 2019".. "reasons for the high court's judgment are not yet available but are expected in the near future.
Not FormerThank you yes, went back & read it. Very true.
NFWasn't there a leak that a New Zealand elder said that they had been instructed by Bethel to get a shredder and delete anything CSA related?
Yes I believe so, at least according to an article posted.
This made me chuckle....(from Tahoe's article)
"During yesterday's proceedings, Justice Rebecca Ellis was critical of the overly complicated outlaying of the church's case. Today she quipped she had already worn out her highlighter pen during the church's submissions."

because they do have a hierarchical system that allows adults to have charge over children who aren't their own. Insisting that children be always involved in activities with unrelated adults was always going to create a vulnerability.
They also don't recognise children as children - expecting them to "keep up" with the adults. In terms of trying behaviour standards - such as long hours of meeting attendance even on school nights. But also adult mandated activities e.g. preaching to and with strangers and arranging and giving talks with unrelated adults.
Children get zero consideration due to their age so why would watchtower prioritise their safety?😡

NE I know this is off topic, but they're bragging over on Reddit that have gotten 1,000 new members since the anal meeting. For a whopping total of 92,000 members.
I've been a member since there was a couple of thousand and there's very few names I recognise who regularly post from back then. In fact names have changed from even 2 years ago. I've also got a few accounts due to forgetting passwords etc so I'm sure most members have multiple accounts including throwaway accounts (who often get "real" accounts once they're more confident as PIMOs etc).
So I'm sure the number of active members at any one time is far less than 90,000 +
let's get the fun started and put in our votes for how far down the pumpkin patch lord of the fries will fall in november.. for those keeping score, last month he started at 457 patrons, did some begging and managed to bump those numbers up to 478, but as of this writing he's down to 439.. so, how well do you think the grift will continue this month?
let us know where you think he'll be on november 2. lucky number 420?
will he drop back down below 400?
I'll go one less than LMsA at 417 please Toblerone5 and Derek Moors

Hey and what's really interesting per the link that Pr0ner sent me, is that 99.8% of these time wasting "insult & defamation of reputation" cases that are that are thrown out of court are actioned against journalists and activists in an effort to suppress their free speech !!!
Many are whistleblowers like Kim that powerful politicians and organisations seek to shut down. The article says it's the misuse of the law that's the problem and the richer plaintiffs seek to keep the cases going in order to bleed the défendent dry! There are free speech organisations that raise money to help defendants deal with these frivolous cases.
Lloyd Evans the big activist who claims he speaks "for the Silent majority" seeks to silence his own volunteers!😡😡😡
