  Observations/Questions from forum newbie

  i joined about 5 days ago and have some observations/questions.. does anyone notice the profile update doesn't seem to work?

  i like reading some of the profiles, most accounts don't have them and maybe that's because the tool doesn't function anymore?.

  also i've been noticing a diverse number of subjects which made me think of the categories of people on here.

  happy new year!

  time to give us your vote for lloyd's fall from grace this month.. december 6th he was at 406. as of today, january 3rd, he's at 388. that is exactly, on the dot, where he was january 3rd of last year!

  he's lost all gains from his begging videos and reminders and tin cup waving and etc.. so, fire up the shrooms and let us know where you think flab boy will be on february 2nd.

  Something changed after the Aftermath video.

  For a man dependent upon donations who doesn't even seem to take the subject matter at hand seriously anymore, I wouldn't want to be heading into the upcoming financial crisis dependent on 361 pledges that bleeding away at a pace of 20+ a month.

  I think the Aftermath video only clued up his newer subbies and those disconnected from the exjw world - eg atheists/ex Mormons - about what's been happening. Easy to Google the rest. Put that together with cost of living and his truly abismal output, both quantity and quality and he's got himself a problem.

  I cannot believe the lack of effort given the absolute gold mine of content the JW world has handed him this year and he's reported on literally nothing important. Those stupid Watchtower inspired "questions from readers" style made up, contrived phone call videos & boring rebuttals.

  I didn't believe it at first but I actually think he sees a future in his music and/or A & R talent scouting/event organizing etc. I really do. It's got to be the only reason for the iDGAF attitude. That or he realizes he can't do shit without his volunteers talent?🤷🏻‍♀️

  a home remodeling job in england that went wildly wrong:.

  a builder who bludgeoned his client to death with a hammer in a row over her new extension has been jailed for at least 15 years for murder.. peter norgrove killed sharon gordon at her home on 20 july last year.. her daughter rhian brown said norgrove acted like a "wolf in sheep's clothing" after earning her trust at the church they attended in dudley.. wolverhampton crown court heard he led the jehovah's witness service the same night he killed mrs gordon.. he repeatedly lied to her about the work he was doing, which took 15 months instead of six weeks.. .

  "he didn't have the experience to be doing the work he was doing," miss brown said.. "he took full payment for the extension in advance, which we believe to be more than £30,000.".

  Thanks for posting. My husband told me about this a few days ago and I wondered if anyone had posted about it. Absolutely awful stuff.

  My husband was gobsmacked this A-hole had "preached a sermon" (his words)at the front of the congregation the same day he killed his victim.

  I think it was a fit of anger that this meek sister had dared to question him, as an elder. Another case of a narcissistic elder....or rather a narcissist who enjoys being a male JW because he gets to wield power he'd never enjoy elsewhere as an unqualified person.

  (revelation 17:5) “babylon the great, the mother of the prostitutes (plural!

  ) and of the disgusting things of the earth.”.

  btg is spotlighted as being the principal "disgusting thing" which affects christians & christianity, with other lesser "prostitutes" in the background... (revelation 18:4) “get out of her, my people, (christians) if you do not want to share with her in her sins, and if you do not want to receive part of her plagues.".

  Jeffro Ridiculous historical revisionism. The ‘Bible Students’ didn’t regard 1919 as any special ‘release’ from ‘Babylon the Great’ at all, and they held many beliefs at the time (some of which weren’t changed until decades after) that JWs now regard as ‘false religion’.

  I know. I'm kinda surprised they're still doubling down on that 1919 stuff....you'd think they'd be quietly trying to drop it. Or at least not mention it.

  Is a member of the Jehovah's Witnesses marries a disfellowshipped person, what is the outcome?

  hello all.. i need a quick answer, and also a solid reference in the literature, please.. if a jw marries an unbeliever, there is reproof, it's frowned upon, it's disloyal, there will be loss of privileges, etc, but there's no other more serious consequences.

  but, in a scenario where two people are free to marry, but one is a baptized jw and the other is disfellowshipped / disassociated, what are the consequences?.

  Good grief, Duran, that link! It perfectly describes the worst practices of the organization as directed by it's leaders! For example shunning/DF, stealing kingdom halls bought by the publishers & making them pay twice for literature, lying in court and baring false witness against CSA sufferers/slandering ex witnesses.

  think it's obvious that he has a German speaking insider he trusts, thus the reason for that language.

  I've noticed quite a few supportive German speaking commenters under his videos & posts, often with no clue as to what's been going on. It's where I think he gets quite a bit of his financial backing. May also be because prostitution is legal in some of the Nordic/Germanic countries - love things up their backsides. Because they're quite protective of prostitutes they jump to defending the industry as a whole, which is quite a different premise and damages vulnerable women and children.

  I appreciate it's not in the same ball park but they also tend to walk around completely nude at home etc, bless them - (I mean in front of visitors😂)

  The world Empire of false religion....

  (Pretty odd that the old time Catholics called their church's organization 'The Holy Roman Empire,' then??)

  As OP says if this empire is just made up of different denominations, why isn't Watchtower just another one to add to the list? Apart from the odd silly term for things, what makes it different if they're not inspired, get things wrong and prioritize money over members?

  It's not like you need a philosophy doctorate to understand, analyse and take apart JW broadcast "dramatisations"(who else uses that absurd word?)....André refuses a good job opportunity for the troof....Andreas studies plumbing to help on a quick build...Mr & Mrs Face-like-a-slapped-Arse remain firm in the troof and shun their single mother-of-four daughter when she's diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer....

  .....not exactly Schopenhauer's metaphysics of the Will to contend with🙄
