But that would mean the ‘apostasy’ was itself a ‘punishment’, but without any actual reason to warrant punishment in the first place.
Oh boy another massive hole in Watchtower theology. Good catch!
according to watchtower, only anointed christians existed between the first and 20th centuries.
the great crowd of other sheep only began forming after the 20th century started.. how do they support this conclusion?

Questions From Readers
● Large numbers of Christians are said to have been put to death during the Roman persecution in the first few centuries of the Common Era. How, then, is it possible for thousands in this century to have been called to become part of the body of Christ composed of only 144,000 persons?—U.S.A.
I remember now. Bart Erhman specifically referenced the small number of Christians put to death by Nero etc in the first century.

Wowzer wowzer wowzer!!!
Boy, if all this actually happens....I won't have any issue with watchtower going forward.
However, on behalf of those we lost on the way - those who've taken their lives over shunning, Or died through the blood issue - I will never let Watchtower leaders forget their evil cruelty

Slim According to sociologist Rodney Stark there may have been as few as 40,000 Christians by mid second century when JWs believe the great apostasy was well under way. So their numbers would fit neatly with this model,
Yes. I was aware of his model and thought it would fit with the JW theory. Funnily enough Bart Ehrman recently mentioned the sparsity
of early Christians in a talk/interview with Megan on Digital Humurabi. I think he was talking about the very early years, though - partly the reason for lack of documentation??

I read somewhere by the 4th century Christians were 10% of the Roman Empire. That's 6 million people. Watchtower numbers are waaay off.

ok, i know the story of how it went, with the deal they reached with the bulgarian government, etc.
i know.. what i need to know is if there is an internal document that redefines willingly taking blood as a disfellowshipping offense into a cause for disassociation.
a letter from the branch?
Has the AJWRB contacted the ECHR and/or the Bulgarian government about Watchtowers deception over disassociating those taking blood?
It actually puts witnesses in a worse spot since they cannot even appeal being Disassociated.
Elmer Thud!

Donations have tanked since, so what about this job Lloyd said he was offered? Taking them up on it?
If that job offer existed - and I mean if because you cannot take anything Lloyd says as gospel - it's either from a bar manager of one of the bars he performs at, working as bar staff . Or it's from a wealthy Patreon/donor. Either one is unlikely to work out. He'd last 5 minutes in a bar keep job which requires good time keeping, hard work and most of all an even and polite temper! The second option is equally likely to flop because when someone's own business relies on all Lloyd's good qualities to succeed ....it won't 😉
