  Where is Tony?

  on february 22, 2023, anthony morris iii was officially removed from the governing body of jehovah's witnesses.

  a few months later it was revealed that the watchtower bought him a house in lumberton, north carolina.. however, and correct me if i am wrong, since leaving the gb nobody has reported seeing tony attending jw meetings or participating in field service.

  in fact nobody has reported seeing him anywhere, not even at a local liquor store.

  Slim He’s said some pretty callous things (like appearing to relish deaths at Armageddon, blowing out a match, human hot-dogs, and so on) but he’s a troubled complicated person that made him relatable, or at least a more sympathetic character than the the other GB members.

  Yeah he never came across as an A hole to me. Certainly as compared to some GB members. Anyways probably the one I'd invite to dinner if I had to pick one.

  Remember he believes all the hogwash and having seen the results of "localiséd armageddon" I guess in his mind he's doing his best to convince people before it's too late. I get it Toni.

  please, please ignore all the scientific impossibilities here, that's not what this topic is about.. let's make the assumption as many christians do that the bible is historically accurate.

  the noachian flood actually happened a little less than 4,500 years ago after which eight adults stepped off the ark to repopulate the planet.. that means that approximately 60 million lives had been snuffed out, a holocaust by anyone's estimation.

  as if that isn't horrific enough just think about the babies, toddlers and young children god killed.. he drowned all of them, every single one.

  By FAR the greatest bad the old testament did is telling humanity we had dominion over all animal life. Making us believe we were somehow special and different. All mammals and many other species feel every emotion we do, more importantly they have the same capacity for suffering. Fear. Maternal love. Devotion in breeding pairs. Bereavement. Cunning. Humour. Loneliness.Generosity. Depression. Madness. Altruism. Jealousy. Friendship. Same sex attraction.

  If we believe someone with severe learning difficulties with no capacity to contribute to society in the present, has done so in the past or will in the future, has the right to 'life, love and the pursuit of happiness' insofar as they are able, why not a gorilla, an Orca or sperm whale? If killing the disabled is murder and experimenting on them evil, why not a chimpanzee??

  Bible believers say the answer is humans have special privileges because they are made in the 'image of God'. That concept has caused more suffering and misery than any other IMHO. If you believe it doesn't count because i'm not referencing human misery, all I will say is mother nature is coming to repay us in the near future with interest.

  How do JWs know that less than 150,000 Christians existed before the 20th Century?

  the great crowd of other sheep only began forming after the 20th century started.. how do they support this conclusion?

  SlimAs I understand it, according to the current understanding, some of those Christians in the intervening centuries could have been “other sheep” Christians but not selected as anointed, maybe even a large percentage of them.

  Now that would make a lot more sense and be a far more brotherly view to take ....

  What surprises me is that he doesn't appear to be attending meetings. If he were, I'm sure we'd know by now.

  Does this mean Toni has apostacized? No longer in sync with the GB, has he been disfellowshipped? That would explain his removal from all media. If he'd just stepped down, why remove all trace of him??!

  NB Slim is right, it's highly unlikely they foresaw an exjw you tuber checking land registry in order to track "Mony (he sure is) Torris" down !

  How in the world does the GB of Jehovah's Witnesses presume know that less than 1% of the millions of those martyred for the name of Christ from Pentecost to the start of the 20th century were real Christians?

  Because they require a basis for their absolute authority. A way of being "brothers" without actually being equal? Watchtower is a religious apartheid organisation. The rulers and the ruled.

  Watchtower is a legalistic organisation that changes over time not with well thought out, reasoned principals in order to make the lives of it's adherents - and the world - better, but in a reactive way. In order to patch up the gaping holes that appear in their patchwork of ideas with the passing of time.

  Example: only 144,000 will go to heaven. Initially a way for his followers to feel 'special' when the end didn't arrive in 1914 (or 1897, 1899, 1925, 1975 etc etc) and Russell passed away, Rutherford as his heir required an explanation for the increase in numbers and - most importantly - something that gave him the authority the founder had. Thus The Filthful Slavebugger The faithful slave was born.

  But that would mean the ‘apostasy’ was itself a ‘punishment’, but without any actual reason to warrant punishment in the first place.

  Boy, if all this actually happens....I won't have any issue with watchtower going forward.

  However, on behalf of those we lost on the way - those who've taken their lives over shunning, Or died through the blood issue - I will never let Watchtower leaders forget their evil cruelty
