  They obviously couldn't find a man qualified and willing to perjure themselves!

  Hmm..is that telling you something GB?! Perhaps women have got something to say regarding the best care & welfare of children!!!

  Expert witnesses are indeed a dime a dozen. The scandal in Britain over Sir Roy Meadows in the Sally Clark S.I.D.S. murder trial shone a spotlight on the tragic consequences of setting much store in their testimony.

  Back again!!

  back again since about 10yrs ago.

  last year attended the international convention in new orleans and was feeling some type of way afterwards.

  went to a couple of meetings and then the thrill was gone.

  There are no ministries or humanitarian efforts to help society at large. The neutrality issue is an excuse to not put effort to fight for justice on behalf of those who cannot fight for themselves, to seek justice for the marginalized, to ensure justice for the abused. ]

  And don't forget the whole 'the universe was created for us humans, animals suffer because we sinned they don't matter we ARE THE WORLD 'ideology behind the whole JW thought process. Its so bloody CONCIETED!!! All the creator of billions of galaxies (maybe even universes) cares about is whether you managed to place a magazine today.Or whether you wear a pair of leggings to go running.

  or me, the recurring thoughts are centred on respect for Barbara Anderson and the steps she made. I wonder how far behind we would be without her and silent lambs. 15 years ago she initiated this huge exposure and I can't imagine

  I couldn't agree more. She has been dedicated to this cause for many years now, and suffered terribly because of her integrity.

  If Disfellowshipping pedophiles protects the congregation, what does it do for "Those Outside" they are expelled to?

  we all know the wt basis for disfellowshipping, (1 corinthians 5:9-13) 9 12 for what do i have to do with judging those outside?

  do you not judge those inside, 13 while god judges those outside?

  remove the wicked [man] from among yourselves.. if removing "the man" is a protection for the congregation and no police are called, what does it say about the witnesses view of the world?

  If I was his lawyer, HIS personal defense lawyer in any subsequent law suits I would fly Steve Hassan over from the States and get him to use that footidge as the PERFECT example of the 'so obvious its under your nose but victim of cult does not see it' moment to show the world just how brainwashed these people are.

  They have learned from "the great teacher" - Jesus & his "father".

  Jesus protected the heaven and removed satan into the circle of the earth.

  It's not persecution, it's accountability

  well i was loathe to start a new thread on the australian royal commission, but i've been reading in thread after thread how jw's are trying to dismiss what's happening with "it's persecution".. if anyone says this to you, just respond "it's not persecution, it's accountability.

  they are being called to explain their procedures, and nothing more.".

  persecution is hostility against someones religion.this is not against the jw religion, it's against procedures that jw's champion as being 'the best in the world' when in reality, and with a little analysis are proving to be among the most harmful.

  i was born into this religion.

  i was a jw for well over 30 years.

  i did much research before i had internet, i compared bibles and prayed deeply to help me to know if this was the truth.

  I would say it boils down to doing evil in the name of God. But its actually doing evil because of organizational pride. Organizational pride is at the root of the child abuse mess they're now mired in.

  100% Agreed. Exactly the same type of thing that Jesus spoke out against again and again.

  When did things turn from paganism to religious?

  heard someone mention that certain acts are pagan.

  so thinking about it, i surmised that marriage, sex, eating certain things were okay and then after g-d gave the law to moses (supposedly) there was a separation for things, actions etc., that were pagan and otherwise bad.

  just wondering what others may think about this.

  Also, pagan just means peasant or country bumpkin. I think originally roman or greek...but anyways gave the idea of an uneducated oik. In that case the wtbt$ advocates paganism!
