Oompa died just after I started lurking..I loved his posts and was horrified such an amazing human being had taken his life due to grief and loneliness. Devastating ..I would give my eye teeth to have met him.
RIP beautiful one.
do you still remember oompahh?

i was in a different city this weekend so i decided to natter to 2 bored jws on the apathy trolley.i just nattered, nothing thought provoking or anti witness.
i was waiting for someone so hard time to spare.what struck me was, that no matter how many times i said that i don't believe in god, they spoke to me as if i did.
they kept asking me how god would feel about stuff.
" Deer in the headlights" - that's a possibly good reaction Punk, it means its a concept that had never occurred to them before so it would have got them thinking ..good one. I know it never occurred to me!!
Someone posted about the flood the other day with " c' Mon...so noone else had a boat except Noah?!!".. Now THAT had never occurred to me either! Doh!
Carol111 LOL!!
i did not realize that they were symptoms that something was wrong with my cat -but i did notice that my cat was breathing a little differently for a period of about a few days.
i also noticed prior and after to that, that on occasion, my cat would cry at the litter box, but that was a very seldom event.. anyway, about a week ago i noticed the symptom that my very loved cat was breathing heavy.
so i called a taxi and i was going to rush him to emergency room for cats.
Fisherman I am so so sorry, I lost my aged dog 3 years ago and it still hurts. It may be worth getting an autopsy - it may certainly reassure you there was nothing you could have done - at least talk to your vet. Some kind of memorial is an outlet for grief - believe me so many understand, talk about your grief to others, in the UK we have an animal bereavement charity it is such a huge issue, you are not alone my thoughts are with you 😔
great quote Millie btw too
i've been thinking this for a while.
even before the arc scandal.
it seems no matter what, the org.
have a look: jwstuff.org [email protected].
and this isn't idolatry?
knorr and franz must be spinning in their graves..... .
Sir82 Even worse - it's not just idolatry - it's tacky idolatry.
If you're gong to wear idols, at least make it look nice! Sheesh.
Amen to that ! Let's face it when you look at the fabulous art, literature, statuary , music you name it the paganzz have got it!! Idol style in abundance!!Greeks Egyptians..even the Catholics with the Sistine Chapel!..now we have the JW idols..epic fail!
i could really do with some advice on what's acceptable when you leave.
we have left of our own accord about 6 months ago.
we didn't celebrate xmas this year but have just celebrated my daughters birthday.. a friend of mine who is still a witness told me that an elder had approached her and asked if we had celebrated xmas and that if we did it was a df offence as is classed as apostasy!
Geoffrey Jackson". But again, as I said, it is not my field,"
What a pomous ass that man is...exactly what is the " field" of a man that left school at 15 to sell pamphlets??
OK...this is how sister D gets around, wanna swap mad puppy???( its me, the Aston's in the garage)
as i am aware a lot of posters are feeling down or grieving the certainties lost when their faith is revealed as nothing but the stories of mortal men...i am posting one of my favourite youtubers, philhellenes who, like the ancients you studied, contemplates that sense of awe that he is indeed fearfully and wonderfully made...and when faced with the inevitability of mortality he imagines the plight of the mayfly...and wonders" would it be cruel to tell an adult mayfly that it only has that afternoon to live...would it still fly as far and as high as it could?might it fly further and higher than usual?or would it forget about it's wings and sit on the water, head bowed, sufficiently traumatised to invent religion?".
we are privileged that after millennia we are some of the first life forms to know exactly how we came to be..and what we are made of ...and if that isnt miraculously awe inspiring,i don't know what is.
