  Orphan Crow They behave as though they are a resistance force led by a US based religion that attempts to force their version of "freedom of religion" on everybody else. They call themselves a religion but they behave like a political force.

  They all remind me, with their ban on all books websites learning etc that disagrees with them, their total life or death loyalty to the " organization", looking forward to the deaths of million of " sub- humans" ( ie non- witnesses), and their thousand year " Reich" of the GB or their " new world order" , of the Nazis that someone is comparing the Russians too....think about it, who are the Nazis?   They can't be seen to be " picking" only on Islamic extremist groups. OK, JWs are not violent - yet - but they ARE extremists and the GB has utter control over the dubs.They contribute nothing to a society they ABHOR and wait gleefully for the destruction of millions of non-witness Russians. They are a cult. What more can I say? I don't agree with it but I am glad I it prevents just one Ruian becoming a dub.

  JWs still can worship privately, its the legal entity the Russian govt are targeting.

  Fantastic video from an obviously extremely dedicated and caring teacher. I don't think he is singling out JWs at all...he probably doesn't have any other students who belong to a CULT given he seems to be a country guy there are probably no orthodox Jews etc ( who tend to live close together) and maybe a reletively high percentage of dubs.

  As to the ex student friendship, ffs they share a love of music...they may be in a band together , the guy is probably in his twenties by now and an exJW who has shared his experiences with his friend and mentor who in turn is using his knowledge to try to benefit socially isolated CHILD CULT VICTIMS!!!

  When a religious group proactively outreaches to people at their own homes to try to recruit them into their religion, it's entirely legitimate that others make pro-active efforts to deprogram them from the cult's claws.

  Of course I couldn't because I wouldn't be able to play in the orchestra and take part in many of the events so it became another opportunity lost because of being a JW

  Simon I feel for you...its gut wrenching to me when I hear this stuff. Who in hell would deny their kid an educational opportunity such as that which turns into a lifelong love?Heartbreaking stuff....we have one life and one chance.

  international version 1 cor 5:11. but now i am writing to you that you must not associate with anyone who claims to be a brother or sister but is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or slanderer, a drunkard or swindler.

  do not even eat with such people.. if shunning is wrong.

  .how does one explain this scripture?.

  Still in had a brother who was never a Witness, who was a drug addict. I was very discerning in my association with him.

  But you'd associate with Brother Prince Nelson and the whole lot of alcoholics and prescription addicts at the Hall?! Addiction does not make you a bad person...all humans are addicts given the right combination of circumstances we are hard wired to be so. Some addicts behave badly....some non addicts behave badly..

  the title is a bit of click bait.

  but here's the alternative title: what stupid beliefs/ideas did you have while an active jw.. i think the majority of jws that don't have obvious mental health issues are not stupid, just un/under-educated.

  for example, i now accept evolution as a thing, not a controversy or conjecture.

  But what about the university educated converts? I have known some....OK one was in languages, which isn't going to automatically teach you critical thinking skills, but one was an engineer....and a competent one at that.

  Some of these so-called " scientists" have the degree but how much experience in their related field do they really have? I'd say not much, after all that's the real guage of your competence. Anyone can sit a degree course, and it also explains why the " evidence" they give is so out of date.

  Looking back most of the so-called intelligent dubs were full on Narcissists.....just couldn't accept that homo sapiens in general aren't the centre of the universe and they in particular are gonna die and get forgotten.

  Green Burial

  so my cousin gave up her fight against bowel cancer a couple of weeks ago.

  yesterday was the funeral.

  i haven't experienced a green burial before.

  rogers death is because of an addiction, fentanyl is what they are saying is the drug that did him in which was reported on the news as being more potent than heroine.

  why is it that some nosy sister can report you because someone who looked like you was in the parking lot the same time as she was, yet bro.

  Any doctor that prescribed fentanyl for chronic hip pain should be struck off. MJ was killed by the same stuff. It shouldn't leave a hospital.

  That is one major disadvantage of paying directly for your healthcare. You pay the doctors bills, you call the shots.

  I agree with Smiddy, so-called medical addiction is addiction BUT in this case the poor patient is a victim of his own success, the doctors all want Prince for a patient so they'll give him anything. Elvis too died for the same reasons. Its HUMAN NATURE to get addicted to these drugs. I defy anyone who says they wouldn't.

  How many more of our best and brightest will die because of this " doctor shopping" bullshit.

  so after almost a year of complete inactivity and non attendance, i ran into a nice brother from the local congregation.. after some nice chit-chat, he says "we really miss you and your family...etc...you were always the kind and supportive one, the approachable and encouraging one in the congregation.

  your absence has confused so many".

  i thanked him and said "oh no, no individual has stumbled us.

  ?????? " necessary consequences of developmental dynamics" ....this in no way contradicts our evolutionary history as being the cause of these " developmental dynamics" . Its essentially a meaningless sentence.

  Can you explain why it is "logical" that we should develop that way then????
