Purple thousand year reign 😂
Prince was so stoned it was just another coping mechanism where he could "nod out" and dream about paradise, without paying the KH too many visits. Win-win if you've got a reason you want to escape reality.

according to prince’s wife, mayte garcia’s new tell-all book, even though the late star identified as a jehovah’s witness, he was also quite interested in scientology in the 90s!.
the woman who was married to the rock icon for 4 years until 2000 revealed that another celebrity tried to convert him to the controversial faith.. however, it turns out that the singer chose to step away from the religion.. according to garcia, he thought scientology was “intriguing,” but ”i don’t need somebody telling me how to believe in my god.”.
“he was always a spiritual seeker…he was way too smart to be sucked into something just because he was vulnerable in that moment,” the wife stated.. furthermore, garcia, who is now 47 years old, revealed that prince became a jehovah’s witness as a coping mechanism following the death of their baby boy, amir.. prince’s friend, bassist larry graham was the one who introduced him to the religion that soon took over every part of his everyday life.. because of that, he changed so much his marriage with garcia was ruined.. the woman explains in the book that prince was so much into the religion that he thought god was punishing him for the type of life he used to lead and that his infant’s death was the greatest price to pay for his reckless existence up to that point.. garcia, who was a born catholic, could not see things the way her husband did, no matter how much she tried.. “i…refused to embrace the gospel according to graham.

it is not uncommon for theists to accuse rational people on this forum of "scientism".. in my opinion it is nothing but a cheap shot from those who know they lack evidence for their beliefs.
if something like "scientism" actually does exist then i have never encountered it.. here is part of an exchange from another thread - i have brought it here as it was off-topic.... scientism = claim of scientific method being universal and the only valid method of knowledge.
followers of scientism always demand scientific evidence to anything.
Rainbow_TrollThe fact that my little mind could reach the same conclusions as this genius demonstrates the power of logical thought to guide us toward the right answers.
Yup. That is the beauty of logic.
Which is why I was utterly bamboozled when I saw that one of those 'educated Witnesses' jw.org rolled out for their 'What I believe'video series was a 'Professor' of LOGIC!!! I mean the physicians I get ( well they're not scientists) even the Zoologist ( evolution doesn't rule out belief in God, although I would have thought it would the JW God) but a lecturer in LOGIC??? It just doesn't compute!!

Rainbow_Troll the exercise of reason has allowed me to solve many longstanding metaphysical question - such as the nature of consciousness and its relationship to matter - that I don't believe scientists will ever be able to arrive at using their methods.
I would be very interested in your findings as to the nature of consciousness. Are you taking about theory of mind?
non jw so thank you for bearing with me.
do special talks happen with individual congregations or is it throughout?
i was told by my husband that i had to go with him and the rest of his family to the special talk that was happening this weekend.
A talk about anger huh? I would have thought being that jw's are supposed to love their spouses like Christ loved mankind willing to give their very life for you, that honey and soft words would win you over rarther than something bitter ( angry words).
JW men have gotten worse and worse over the years in my opinion, as the children of those bastards - like Rutherford, Knorr and Franz - came into power, believing the BS their grandfather's generation of jw power-mongers *knew* was their made up rubbish.
a month ago i decided to register in this board.
i had decided to step down pioneering but was frightened about the consequences.
i had finished my university degree some months before (despite disaproval from brothers in my congregation) and i had to choose: continue pioneering and working in jobs with no future or starting a career, working full-time.. i was thinking to postpone the decisiton but... i was fed up with preaching.
The best piece of advice is to Carry on listening to your inner voice.
Congratulations on passing your degree. As an Organization Watchtower does everything it can to maintain its wealth. It's power structure is such that the lower levels and middle level work tirelessly with no reward; only for the top level to reap all the reward just like the pyramid scheme Watchtower really is.

Toes up individual JW's may bring a meal over for you but the Organization will never help you
There.FiFY!
just reading a posting about relive a day for one year of your live... .
getting older, i am so sad thinking about years ago and missing my family members.
am i the only one believing they would never die?.
Oh Gorby of course I understand. I feel the same way. I never took care of myself believing Jehovah would make it right. I never truly grieved believing I would see them again. Two close friends took their own lives and I think about them constantly - I know there are things I could have done to stop them, and now I can never make it right with them.
Ttdtt My grandfather was an atheist and I gave him hell. I would give anything to see the only man that ever loved me again and tell him I'm sorry, that he was right and give him the biggest hug.
like the question asks: if you could relive any one day of your life, any age, any place and remember everything about it afterwards, would you be willing to live one year shorter at the end of your life?
one day for one year?.
i realize that someone well on in years would think twice about it, but, what about you younger ones?
Oh yes. Absolutely. And I'm not young. Again and again I have not listened to my inner voice. There are also people who have passed away I want to be with.
And a suicide I want to stop.
And then there are those beautiful, happy days, days where I was healthy young and happy, I want so much to feel the joy of running again. I also want to do all those things that require physical health that I did not experience, that I cannot now.
Yes I'd do it in a heartbeat.
been thinking about this lately after almost 14 years out of the jw cult myself.
when you think of the language used within the jehovah's witness organization in such a closed society environment in how the wt society promotes almost absolute " trust " in the elders , the governing body, and trust even in the " friends " in the congregation themselves- is it any wonder that unscrupulous child molesters can enter any congregation pretending to be " spiritual " and take advantage of unsuspecting children or the parents ?
think about it : an individual is judged as a " spiritual " person within the jw organization based on what wt functions or duties they are good at performing.
Remember also, sexual predictors are regularly known to spend years manouvering themselves into positions of Trust and POWER.....teachers, scout masters, Choiristers, Priests....how relatively easy it would be to become an Elder, therefore, or Pioneer.
The "men behind the curtain" - Franz, Knott etc - were not just misogynists but cared less than nothing for children : which led to an atmosphere where, I strongly believe, networks of paedophiles infiltrated the organization with impunity.
pretoria [ south africa] - an unusual urgent application served before the gauteng high court this week,in which a lyttelton manor resident, who said he is was known as the “anointed one” among jehovah’s witnesses, asked the court to officially swear him in as the worldwide leader of the organisation.. ernest gericke, in papers before the court, told judge bill prinsloo that the “first business of the christ is the legal establishment of the kingdom of god on earth, known as the jehovah’s kingdom.” .
gericke said this involved the the conducting of a covenant for a kingdom, which is to take place on april 11. .
“in order to effect the legal requirements for the kingdom this honourable court is requested to hear the public oath of the office of the king.
Orphan Crow Maybe a letter writing campaign will help him? Where do we send our letters of support?
😂😂😂I'd gladly do so.
I'm a bit worried about the " Arrested" bit though - I've forgotten to 'Jolen' my lady 'tache this week - would it count as a beard and if so does that mean I would be summoned to appear before a magistrate by his Highness the Anointed?
