Dubstep The constant talk about this wicked world and how awful daily life in it is robs people of the ability to see any beauty around them, another contributor to severe depression.
sorry for all the posts but this subject really grinds my gears.
we all know the rate of suicide is high among jw's.
my question is this- was there some subliminal messages that encourage this.
i was a born in and my entire life i would have these thoughts that could come out of nowhere,"kill yourself.

secondly take a look at the interactive map and you will see that where religion predominates the suicide rates are lower - Spain, Italy. In fact most of the Southern med. On average most Muslim countries too.
Ruby I think you'll find the reason for this is the close family bonds.
Watchtower threatens, or actually, takes that away, tears familys apart.

Slimboyfat Is right when he says Watchtower makes it impossible to gather any statistical evidence, and that in itself gives us some clue.
I am on reddit and there tends to be a younger crowd, many of whom are PIMO. The number of posts grieving for friends who have committed suicide is heartbreaking. Many have recently been DF and are being shunned, many are gay - which is another horrible thing WT does - gay JWs are in the worst of situations, be lonely or be dead at Armageddon. Then again if they feel they can't control their thoughts they are finished. Its heartbreaking.
JWsuicides are one of the things that make me incredibly angry and upset.
hey everyone.
i don't post here often, but i lurk pretty much everyday.
i just created the following infographic based on the recent yearbook stats.
Brilliant piece of work Happy1914!!
i heard this expression very often and even said it often myself.
now that i am out, i realize this isn't always the case.
there were many times i was going out in service saturday morning and couldn't wait for 12:00 to come along so that we could go swimming, bicycling, play basket ball, go to the beach... .

Has your father passed away? I ask because this pulled at my heart strings to think of this man ever realising his mistake...dear man. Thought he was saving lives.😞
the conversation soon got to spiritual subjects, this elder is company man all through and side kick well he's learning the ropes.
bang mentioned snake antivenin, blood factions, then big geoffrey jackson saying presumptuous, then vin toole in the arc saying he had never heard of theocratic warfare.
then told how god made exceptions to the rules on blood when soldiers ate unbled meat.
Wow Chook, Thank human you are OK. Idiots! Just because they *use* horse blood to make the ant-venom...I didn't even *think* of the vulnerability of Australian JWs when it comes to their absurd medical quackery/blood/vaccine doctrines.
Dear God how many have died because of bites? We will never know, I guess, but you can bet it's happened.
Interesting how different they are when they know they have no captives, I mean family, of yours. Probably won't bother to JC cos No point - they can't punish you.
So, so glad we have our little chooky safe and well.
will they draw a new name out of a hat or do a kiss test i don't know..
I've wondered that...when you see older pics of the GB there were many more. Are they sticking to the Biblically MAGIC NUMBER of 7??
there was a recent thread on another site where posters maintained that many of the *most* long-standing jw's don't believe at least one official watchtower doctrine.
i've even read reports from bethelites saying they've heard bethel overseers say they don't believe some watchtower theology.
this made me think - i believe there are a few official doctrines that are common for many jw's to be either in denial about or simply not really believe ( often one and the same thing).. i'd say these are pretty high in the ranking:.
Searching Even as a teen I knew being gay was never a choice...in fact I was repulsed by other JWs who tried to say otherwise. These days most younger JWs I'm sure feel that way too.

Smiddy They seem to reason that if the big "A" doesnt come in their lifetime they will hedge their bets by claiming to be of the annointed class and partake at the Memmorial Celebration.
Wow Smiddy I didn't think of that as an extremely plausible reason as to why then numbers of anointed are creeping up pretty fast. Of course! They are hedging their bets! They are thinking " maybe Jesus did command that we *all* do this in remembrance - it's sure not gonna hurt"
Blues Brother I contend that we on here discuss and are more aware of the revised teachings on prophecies than the congregation are.
Of that I've no doubt. Perhaps, given the wackiness of recent GB pronouncements ( over-lapping generations, mediator only for 144,000) they don't *want* to know!

I'd like to add some more, I'm not sure If I can edit the original post, but the blindingly obvious one is:
*Over-lapping generations*!!
Oral sex between married's and general interference by Watchtower in that department
