Another funny passage is the naked boy running off into the night in the garden of Gesthemane. Where did that come from?

The Bible a wierd book.
by James Mixon insome events in the bible can be questionable but there are some stories the rings of truth, and why do i say that because they are so descriptive.
judges 3:22 "ehud an israelite judge, goes to the king of the moabites to pay annual tribute.
instead, he pulls out a dagger and stabs the sh--t out of the king while he is bathing, he literal caused the sh--t to flow and the dagger disappeared in the folds of the king's skin.

Return of the Dub (plus surprise guest)
by TerryWalstrom inreturn of the dub (plus surprise guest)dealing with just one frisky, bright-eyed jehovah’s witness is a handful.one on one is manageable.
two jw’s is more like juggling chainsaws or french kissing alligators.i had a return visit the other day and now, the jw was returning the 2nd time, but with another dub.what would my strategy be?
that’s how the day was spent.

Terry et, it's mysterious and almost inevitable--except nothing but death is inevitable. It is a magic only possible IF YOU ACT and say the right things and do the right things.
Absolutely. It is never, EVER a waste of time trying to wake someone up. You never know when the penny will drop, perhaps because of something you said.
You can tell what sort of witness I was, can't you!

But I imagine that Earl will keep in my mind several points. One being what you said about your Grandfather and all those religious salesmen
I absolutely LOVED that part.
I was desperately trying to imagine a Texan accent telling the story...probably failing. I wish I could hear your voice!
Can I ask have you ever penned any of your great grandparents stories ? I would love to read some. I'm obsessed with American history.

JW critically injured after being electrocuted in assembly hall
by Anders Andersen ina newspaper reports that in bornem, belgium, a jw volunteer was critically injured after being electrocuted:.
bornem - a man was electrocuted while performing maintenance on a high voltage installation in the assembly hall of jw in bornem friday afternoon.
the man was critically injured.. possibly the man, who is a volunteer with the jw, tried to clean the installation with a vacuum cleaner.

also know exactly where the dude got fried, the installation was old when I last saw it (25 years ago) and doesn't have a lock out. Most likely someone assigned him to the area because it's not where you commonly go although "it has to be clean for Jehovah
This what makes one so mad about things like this. Why in odins name did they allocate an 81 yr old to do totally unnecessary hoovering anyway. -

I'm terribly sorry for the poor soul...what a way to end your life.
Damned obsessive cleaning of Jehovahs Witnesses. Watchtower keeping them busy doing nothing.

DF friend is right.
It's utterly horrible. Not to mention most DF people are desperate not to be DF; so for WT to say it's to show them the 'error of their ways' is absurd. They know they error...they are just imperfect, like Jesus said: forgive not 7 times but 77 times.

This story sounds like it's been posted before too, I know I've read the story about the bottles of Brandy before
New Boy posts these stories every now and then for the new members....otherwise they'd never get to read them; and they're priceless!

God expresses his perplexity at his own creation
by slimboyfat injust got to share this, zizek at his very best.
explaining how the traditional view of the ransom makes no sense and reverts christianity to paganism where god is subject to a superior notion of justice.
how the injunction from jesus to hate mother, father, brothers and sisters is really a call for a non-hierarchical society, of which the holy spirit is a symbol.

Cofty P.S. What is wrong with Zizek?
Yes it's most distracting.
People on doses of codeine based opiates behave like this.

what about this one, another Samson classic in Judges 16:
"Then Samson said, "With the jawbone of a donkey, I've piled them in heaps! With the jawbone of a donkey, I've killed a thousand men!"
I think that's why the Jews have the holy book, "the Tanakh", "Prophets" and "writings". I think it's only relatively recently the protestants have deemed the whole bible as the SOLE authority and inerrant word of GOD ' sola scripture' I believe it's called.
You can understand why the Jews were a little more cautious about using some books as inerrant.

Could one of these "disruptive ones" be our beloved 'Im worldly'.....he's on YouTube and goes into congs to talk about the ARC during opening prayer and shouts jwfacts.com as he's hustled out.
