00 ?? I've heard it 3 times now after 1:04:40 until the end, he doesn't say that. Where is exactly does he say that preaching is done?
Try listening from 60.00 mins.
one of my jw sons seems to be putting pressure on his non-jw brother apparently to scare him into accepting the troof and start coming to meetings.
wild statements like our topic title, which i know are not supported at jw dot org, have been made to my non-jw son several times over the past year or so.
while i haven't been privy to the actual phone conversations i tend to believe that the jw son is being pressured by the local elders to cut ties with the non-jw since their conversations seem to degrade into arguments -- therefore tending to weaken the jws faith in wt teachings.. either my jw son is lying about what i would call rogue teachings (and this would disappoint me greatly) or he is in some close knit clique in his congregation which has secretly chosen to go rogue on certain wt issues.. based on many of the recent posts here about drastic money and wt organization problems this could be a sign of pending splits of certain congregation members.. what do you think?

Here's the Bethel speaker I meant to post......

Personally I think it's Vincent Price....but it's at 1:05:00 right at the end, the quote about the preaching being done!
in this picture from the latest watchtower, what in the world is the guy watching on the left side of the picture??
it looks like a female vampire holding a lightsaber.
am i missing something?.
Can any of you wordsmiths out there tell me what the obsession is with the word "uncanny" for WT? I thought it meant simply strange or mildly intriguing....is there something wrong with anything 'uncanny'?
Of course the Scott's mean you are particularly clever if you're canny, so I guess in that sense anything UNcanny should appeal to them

several people speak out.
if some one can put a link on here that would be awesome, i can’t figure out how to do it with an i phone.

Spike R said 'fix the 2 witness rule, change the blood policy and stop the shunning and he'll go away'
I'm grateful for these people.
Absolutely. Some seem to forget.....it's not the religion, per sa, that is protested about, and it's not just a religious service that is being disrupted, but an abusive, high control cult with practices that literally take lives. Those 'services' are part and parcel of the indoctrination process.I'm
Imagine if every KH had people stand up and speak the truth. JWs would soon learn no Jehovah is protecting their hall .

MOrpheus They interrupted a random meeting of local witnesses. It in NO way had any impact whatsoever on jw leadership.
Your post Just made me think; all Bethelites are allocated a hall, right? If someone in Bethel could let them know where....maybe they should go protest at the GBs hall.
let the reader use discernment:.
i was disfellowshipped in june of last year.
while i've been awake for nearly a year, i still often feel groggy.
Fantastic summary - it's easy to see where your talent lies! Quite agree the design of the place spells out to me they've Quite knowingly scarpered and are hiding out in their cozy compound, built with the blood sweat and tears of good peoples, mostly now long gone.
But what I'm dying to ask is:
Did y'all wear headbands and wave sticks?!😂😂😂
edit: u might be too young to remember that picture!
so i was recently reading the reasons for disfellowshipping as listed in shepherd the flock of god.
the handbook is available online here: https://thetruthofjehowaswittness.files.wordpress.com/2012/12/jehovas-vitner.pdf.. on page 59, point #4, it lists attempted suicide as a reason for disfellowshipping.
has it ever been removed?
The fact that everyone has had such different experiences just goes to show how inconsistent the "holy spirit" is! However the very fact its is LISTED amoung disfellowshipping offences in the S.T.F.O.G. book goes to show it is veiwed with disapproval, not compassion, in the Watchtower.

Watchtower is, as usual, talking out of both sides of its mouth as they HAVE been allowing people to give talks saying the preaching work is done. Probably to frighten folks into staying. One guy stated it was done with the exception of a couple of rogue states ( mentioning 3 countries: North Korea, Saudi Arabia and I think Sudan?) and that the people there " bear collective responsibility" for essentially letting such rulers have power!!! Never mind that they are totalitarian dictatorships or religious monarchies who own the country etc
There's something about it here, but I couldn't find the talk again:

Orphan Crow You get a like from me! It's visually interesting so something the media would definitely pick up on.
you and the broken kite are correct, focusing on Watchtowers treatment and attitude to women and children is a great idea....especially in terms of attracting media attention. It also ties in with issues around treatment of CSA and rape victims, too, and again targeting interested parties would garner more support and media exposure for any protests.
Perhaps having A. one issue to focus on in a protest is the best idea. Also B.itineraries or a programme for the day? These seem to be two areas of future improvement.
It would also be wonderful to co ordinate protests at other branches - such as Poland, Australia and the UK - to give those who can't travel to the US a chance to participate.
