There's nothing like that time of day. Sadly being a bit of an insomniac I usually see that time at the end of a long sleepless night these days, but I used to work for an airline and seeing it from 30,000 ft is just sublime.
@Been there what part of the world do you hail from so I can imagine? Just country will do, I'd love to travel but not really well enough so I just use my head!!

ExJW fifth is a supreme interviewer bar none.
There are many talented exjw's creating fantastic you tube content. Two of my personal favourites are Susan Gaskin and Lloyd Evan's " Watchtower in Focus".
But when it comes to interviews I believe ExJW Fifth really is up there with any television professionals, since he really allows the interviewee to fully express themselves. He is able to fully relate back to his guest yet never makes it about him.

I am fairly certain that given Fred Franz incredible, narcissistic and total belief that he was the one and only conduit between almighty God the creator of the universe and mankind, there is nothing, literally nothing that he got into his potty head that he would not do.
Just listen to the guy's speeches. He makes Hitler sound calm.

I have to say, though, I always feel like a stinker complaining about grammar on exjw sites when so many of us have been deprived of a decent education.
Some have been home schooled by online scam schools and my heart bleeds for them.

Bad experiences in waking someone up?
by Fred Flintstone ini mean, is it advisable to try to wake a friend up?
what about the risk of he/she falling into depression?
anger?

I think almost everyone goes through a period of, well, at least very deep sadness when they discover ttatt. Most liken it to a bereavement; and the subsequent five stages of grief...numbness, anger, bargaining, depression and finally acceptance.
Do you mean experiences of someone simply not recovering, or getting "stuck" in one of the stages like permenant depression or anger?
I think having support either through exjw sites or counselling would hopefully prevent that. Also the immense feeling of freedom would be a huge preventative for any of the above.
I think its far more dangerous not knowing the truth and risking being DF or just not being able to continue going to meetings through age/disability/depression etc etc. The misery of being trapped feeling "less than", failing god or being rejected by your peers is far more likely to end in tragedy.

Is the husband the head of his wife?
by Doug Mason inhow do we explain the marital role with what paul said in 1 cor.
“but i want you to realize that the head of every man is christ, and the head of the woman is man, and the head of christ is god.” (niv).
read a few chapters earlier at 1 corinthians 7 to see what paul does say about the relationships between husband and wife.

Thank you Doug, that is very interesting. I knew that many academics believe the more misogynistic parts of the NT were much later additions, but I did not know how they came to that conclusion.
I often think its strange that Watchtower got rid of the stoning story at John 8 because it is thought to be a later addition. But they are perfectly happy to accept that Paul wrote the pastoral epistles, when there is an awful lot of evidence he didn't.
Also, I find it incredible they do not let women so much as hold mics. Yet even *their* translation has pheobe as a Dikkonos - Deacon, or ministerial servant as they term it.

How many faithful old JW`s are now living in Christendoms retirement homes not being cared for by the religion they gave their life for.
by smiddy3 init must be pointed out in favour of christendoms religions that they do not discriminate against people regarding their religious beliefs.
many old age jehovah`s witnesses are residents of christendoms age care homes.. isn`t this a conunudrum ?
they, jw`s condemn christendom as part of the world empire of false religion and they cast off their old faithful members to their enemy christendom , to look after them without lifting a finger themselves.. in the meantime they are raking in millions of dollars $$$$ in selling off real estate properties in new york and elsewhere around the world.

My non JW great aunt went into a care home run by Jw's, she had dementia.
When she died her diamond rings disappeared. We also never got some expensive antique furniture she brought with her, some of which they look and placed around the building. It was valued in the thousands back in the 70s. Her brother was the executor and I guess he couldn't be bothered to fight them over the furniture, but how Christian of them.
