funny thing is if they were to read their bibles, cut off from all things jworg , they would likely snap out of the culty mind set and leave the jws.

I know their has been a lot of controversy about Lloyd Evans /John Cedars over the years and I have been on the fence making a judgement about him ,however I think this post by himself LE/JC has tipped the scales.
Smiddy I'm with you. I enjoy Lloyd's JWbroadcast rebuttals, and I do think there has been a touch of envy in the attitudes of some, particularly other YouTuber's. There has also been some rarther nasty insinuations about Lloyd being rarther predatory toward young women. This from so-called " Christian" exjws, and Lloyd has, quite rightly in my opinion, put a lot of their spite down to his atheism.
I also 'get' that he is trying to make a living in the competitive area of journalism, with a specialist subject with very limited appeal. Doesn't help that he lives in a country where I imagine the job market is very limited. I get all that.
But really. Is this a competition - the most heartrending story gets to pay you the honour of having their story printed as an afterthought, in a book with Lloyds name emblazoned on the front cover. And this purports to help people like them? Really?
Nothing wrong with being paid for your work but if you want to be a professional be a professional - ghost write, put the persons name on the cover and share the profits. And don't take advantage of The hurt and unheard.

Do they officially give marking talks without telling the one marked?
by Wakanda inmy pimi (physically in, mentally in) friend believes she was marked without them telling her.
i believe her, and she has been making work for the elders.
she is a pain in their arse, and they are a pain in hers, which is great.

Zeb
yes they do because they don't have the testicular fortitude to front some people and a marking talk allows the smug elderettes to feel even more smug because they will know who its aimed at.
Exactly, plus I thought as Christians you were supposed to: Mathew 18.15
"If your brother or sister sins, go and point out their fault, just between the two of you. If they listen to you, you have won them over."
Not muck spread to every man and his dog behind your back.!

Part two, sorry. Bo thinks it's a bit of a scam, as one author to another....
( sorry for no synopsis above. Basically this is Bo sees it as taking advantage of exjw financially. Since we've already been scammed by Watchtower, he feels we are vulnerable to this sort of thing and that our stories should stand on their own merit, we shouldn't have to pay someone for the honour of having our story as an addendum to theirs).

Have you ever thought what the primary teaching of Jehovah’s Witnesses is?
by Half banana init is not “preach the good news” nor is it “believe in jesus and get saved” neither is it “believe in the governing body of jehovah’s witnesses and get saved” although in practice they do teach this.
no, everything they claim depends on a belief in another doctrine which logic decrees cannot be found in the bible.
the leadership of jehovah’s witnesses put absolute faith in a protestant doctrine which is given a latin name, sola scriptura, meaning “by scripture alone”.. good evidence of the governing body believing in the primacy of this doctrine was when being questioned by the australian royal commission, they resorted to the ‘authority’ of scripture to defend their stance on having “two witnesses” when they are investigating child abuse cases.throughout the hearing they paraded their naive trust in the bible as the highest possible authority proudly ignoring the fact that most people regard it as having been superseded by modern scientific evaluations of what is true.. .

urely though the JW Bible says “All scripture is inspired of God, beneficial etc”. Doesn’t that mean the Bible is inspired? If it did mean the Bible is inspired it would logically be disqualified because it is circular reasoning; using the authority of the original statement to justify itself.
Which is really a form of "begging the qustion"

The ever-broadening, ever-deepening, ONGOING FLOOD TIDE of spiritual food
by credulity inmidway through the "congregation bible study" at this week's midweek meeting, a paragraph of the "god's kingdom rules" book stated as supposed evidence that "god's kingdom rules":.
"spiritual provisions flow to us like an ever-broadening and ever-deepening river.
our bible-based publications - as well as recordings and videos, our meetings and conventions, and the material published on our web site - together amount to an ongoing flood tide of spiritual sustenance... are you not thrilled to see the fulfillment of jehovah’s promises of abundance in your daily life?".

Not soliciting for money"? Just because they don't pass a collection plate, doesn't mean they do "not solicit for money". That is the raison d'être for their existence! BAHAHAHAHAHA!
It always cracks me up when Watchtower denigrates 'Worldly' Churches for passing a puny collections plate for the odd person to stick 50 pence in, whilst Watchtower has collection BOXES and credit card machines all over the place, plus always asks for your 'valuable things' and sums like 25 million dollars in their Broadcasts!!!
