  I know who you mean, the chap that wrote the essay on the creation book. His family where deep in and I think they were friends or relatives with GB member Schroeder, who he spoke with, but was only basically able to give him the answer "faith". In fact if I remember rightly, he even went to New York Bethel and questioned the main author of the creation book, whose name also slips my mind.

  Is his story on jwfacts, or is it a book..danged if I can remember.

  Love your story, beautifully written. You are obviously a journalist in your alternate, twilight, unlived non JW life!!

  Why do Jehovah`s Witnesses believe everything will be Hunky Dory after Armageddon ? I have news for them.

  they seem to think that all they will do is enjoy a carefree life with little or no concerns problems or worries whereas nothing could be further from the truth... according to the bible.. without trying to speculate on these concerns or problems during this one thousand year reign of christ jesus ,lets hear what the bible has to say about the end of his thousand year reign.. rev.20:7-10 satan is to be let out of his prison {as if he hasn`t done enough damage in 6000 years of roaming about in the earth at the same time fraternizing with jesus and jehovah in heaven} i digress.. and the reason he is let out of prison ,lo and behold ,is to mislead those nations in the four corners of the earth gog and magog to gather them together for the war.

  { here we go again ,armageddon didn`t solve anything we have to go through another one.

  } 1000 years later.. now get this it`s not just some isolated little skirmish with a few hundred or even a few thousand dissenters ,as the bible states they number the sands of the seashore and they advanced over the breadth of the earth and encircled the camp {not a nation but a camp} of the holy ones.and the beloved city.. with that description it would seem the holy ones are in the minority and the opposes apparently were spread over all the earth.. so that description of the bible to me about jc 1000 rule does not appear to be one of living in a paradise , that is not on the agenda until after jesus christ 1000 year reign and only if you are lucky enough to survive another test/war of your loyalty after all you have gone through previously.. i wonder if this realization is one of the reasons why so many now are claiming to be of the anointed because as one of the other sheep you have to pass another test after the 1000 years of christ jesus rule whereas of one of the anointed on death now you go straight to heaven ..

  Smiddy 😂😂made me laugh the Bible states they number the sands of the seashore and they advanced over the breadth of the earth and encircled the camp {not a Nation but a camp} of the Holy ones.and the beloved city.

  I've no doubt the little darlings all assume they will be the ones safely tucked in the little camp, whilst those dissenters will no doubt be the 20 billion ( I think some expert once estimated) resurrected ones, the sum total who had lived before Armageddon, since they missed it first time around!!

  Lloyd Evans would be more tolerable if he just sat still on his seat when he's talking to the camera.

  OMG I thought I was the only one to notice but it literally drives me crazy!!!

  I think it is excess of nervous energy as I know it seems worse during his intro -when he literally jerks with every syllable - it seems to lessen as the vlog continues, particularly when he relaxes into conversation on, say, "Watchtower in Focus," which is my absolute favourite exjw vlog, it really is excellent.

  I daren't say anything about this distracting jerking because he is so sensitive to criticism. I don't want to rub him the wrong way over such a minor issue, and, in fact, there are several professional current affairs presenters who do just that, so he's not alone.

  Wonder if he knows?

  It's not the first time he has requested such information. When the British Charity Commission began their investigations he asked Victims to share their story with him, stating that he would act as a go between.

  If you get on his wrong side, or even if he just perceives that, he can become nasty.

  Let's say you've given him your story and then later sue the Watchtower, you could have compromised your own position. JC and his helpers keep a data base of information for reporting purposes in furtherance of their own agenda.

  In fact BCG, case 29 of the ARC, was upset because he and covert fade wanted to write her story, she refused as she wanted to do her own. When she decided this John Cedars then attacked Alexandra James calling her a "regressive activist"( made up word imho), probably because she helped Bo Juel bring his book to fruition as editor. She obviously is a threat to him since she has a proven track record of helping abuse victims get their stories out.

  Perhaps my math is not correct, but do the figures represent a 7,198.8 hour commitment to get ONE person baptized?

  You're correct.

  2 billion hours preaching. Utter rot.

  Take out lunch breaks, coffee breaks, donut breaks, cart guarding, drive time, looking for deaf people, building projects, elders public talks, stuffing mags in laundrettes, pioneer shuffling.....how much of that 2 billion is active preaching???A miniscule percentage.

  SBF I'm also amazed that more and more JWs are becoming pioneers.

  Guessing it's because it's easier to get the hours in, sitting by a cart playing clash of clans.

  I'm still pretty surprised, though, too. Agree with your suggestion that their could be a split of ideologies.

  i'm sure many of you are aware of the jwtalk site, a message board which has yet to succumb to apostasy (give it time).. some of the forums there are visible to the public, and i've seen some crazy stuff.

  here is a sampling:.

  "satan is really trying his best to make things worst for the witnesses, knowing the 6,000 years is almost up, from eve's creation!".
