Re: Kim Silvio's letter and statement that Lloyd shouts down and silences those he disagrees with: " you would be shocked if you knew how many activists have given up activism because of him".

It's upsetting that not once has he addressed this comment. Further, not once has he expressed shock or remorse that he has upset anyone to the point of driving them away. I believe a decent person - even if they'd been thoughtless and bullish on occasion - would be horrified to learn they were responsible for making fellow exjws feel this way.

I started reading it, thank you. It's very interesting. I find it very interesting how much better off Brits who emigrated to Canada/USA back then were. I can't imagine my boys coping with a baby and a war at 16😳

I've read many of Graces posts and i do remember her passing and how sad everyone was.

Booger man How could a non-existent U.N. (not created until 1945) - fulfill a prophecy in 1918 - 27 years BEFORE it ever existed? Many will still swallow this without a thought. Sigh!

Vidqun Fredrick Franz did notice the discrepancy, so in a footnote to the "Revelation"-book (p. 167) he changed the meaning of "abyss" at Rev. 11:7 to "deep." According to him here it would point to the first beast, Beast from the sea (Rev. 13:1).

I don't understand....a sea creature will crawl out, grab Ant Mo and take him back to his lair for a midnight munch? Or do they mean "sea" as in people...or whatever they used randomly to refer sea as?

Kim just to say re: entrapment video, some settings DO NOT have English British setting, only English USA.

Also some are automatically set to USA English & people don't bother changing it to British English since the differences are so minor. I think the young especially don't often bother so it doesn't mean a person with an email set to USA English is definitely in the US.

Edit: leaving it to USA English when you're not in the uSA could also indicate someone not planning to use the email long term.

Also: I don't think it's Lloyd since he knows who Marko is if I'm not mistaken, since I remember you saying Lloyd "flipped the bird" at Marko? I think it's a crazy"fan" trying to ingratiate himself.

Digderidoo He never took ownership of the consequences of what he did back then, continually deflected and became extremely defensive of anyone who dared to criticism him. I recall his squirming and conditional apologies on here.

That's because his objective was never to become an exjw activist....or rather to help others find their way out, or more realistically find a soft landing spot when they do come out.

That just sort of fell in his lap.

His objective was merely you tube fame as demonstrated by his first channel, which didn't take off, living in Croatia.

I genuinely think this whole "career" thing is an accident because unqualified and based in a country where he didn't speak the language, he had to make a living somehow online.

It explains why he so determinedly pushed others out in order to "corner the market". Yes, there's some psychological issues there - but I really think it mostly boils down to greed, for both of them actually.

Clean ideas to top it all off you decided to stay with that person. Wouldn't you be just as guilty as your horrible partner, all so you can continue expensive trips to foreign countries?

At least Dijana has the excuse of needing her kids provided for. It's hard to unpack whether she likes the lifestyle or needs the provider, or a bit of both.

That being said, “There is no bad publicity” seems to fit here to me. His personal life style couldn’t last forever, he is not that sort.. he needs to escalate

i personally would like to foster a couple of those parent-less kids from ukraine, but i know that my 'full in' witnesses wife would never agree.

for her, they are 'worldly children'; children who are most likely will never become a witness, and so why even consider opening one's heart to them and their suffering.. while her attitude really upsets me, ultimately she is just a product of the organization's teachings and for me, it is just another example of the hypocrisy and coldness of the religion.

you see, this religion is meant to be a christian faith, one that should copy the qualities the jesus himself taught others to display.

All children are 'worldly children' - before their parents indoctrinate them into being Jehovah's witnesses...Muslims....Catholics...Hindu's...Jews...etc

Although there is a strong chance if you adopted kids she would teach them to become JWs in short order!

I'm really sorry that your impulse to do good is thwarted by that cold hearted greedy religion. It's a shame, too, because I've read it's the one main regret many childless witnesses have, although these days it's not explicitly prohibited.

It's good though that you can see past your wife's behaviour as being not of her own doing. Perhaps if you try and encourage her to do non witnessy things and just generally enjoy yourselves together? Show her how great being a family could be by taking her places families frequent? Just some ideas, anyway. I really do feel for you because you found the witnesses uncharitable nature always one of the worst aspects of their belief system even when I believed it myself.

I'll admit you've got a solid top 10 although I cannot believe Leonard Cohen is only no. 10!!!!😳

For me it's a battle between Leonard Cohen, Neil Young and Joni Mitchell for the no.1 spot. With The Band coming in a very strong 4 (the guitarist is lower down the list so I presume he was a solo artist which I didn't know)

I also LOVE Jagged Little Pill by Alanis Morissette, like most women of my generation!

One of the reddit mods (where Kim Silivio's original post was removed within about an hour) used to mod for LE. I saw the name of this mod come up in a live chat from 2-3 years ago, actually. The name of that mod is something like lececiafox.

Oh god I was going to mention her she's was snooping on altworldly lifestream. She still mods for Lloyd but she's not down as a mod on Reddit under THAT name. Her name's Amanda Blakemore I message her now & then.

I've been on Reddit since we had around 4000 subs and the mod team changed at around ....I wanna say 15 - 20,000 subs?? I asked if there's been a hostile takeover since they became way more controlling😂I suspected that he had "inserted" his moles into the new Reddit team and I've no idea why it suddenly changed like that. Highly suspect.

One thing I do know from my law modules is that defamation is a very hard thing to prove. In the UK, and USA in particular, there are VERY robust laws protecting free speech. That's how gossip columnists build whole empires and make fortunes.

It certainly could be argued that Lloyd is somewhat of a celebrity among exjws and the 'celebrity' has even less protection from defamation than the man in the street. It would be extremely difficult to prove a defamation case for a celeb, in fact you would have to be maliciously lying - that is KNOWINGLY lying - about someone for them to prove their case. Which in this case is absurd, since the person in question admitted the facts.
