Hang on. This is the worst year of his life? Ever??!

Well all I can say is that he's had a damned easy life then. The only thing that happened is that the general public finally discovered what a bastard he is.

I mean it wasn't his wife catching him cheating with young prostitutes this year that made it bad....that's happened over practically the whole of their marriage, in one form or another. Anyway it seems they're still functioning together as a family. At least they're going on plenty of holidays together, so I think they're only 'separated' when it suits him. 🤔

Was it the worst year of his life because people finally stopped working for him for free when they realised what a piss taker he was? Is that the worst thing that's ever happened to him?

It wasn't the worst year of his life when his mum died of cancer ?

Wasn't it the worst year of his life when his father and sister stopped talking to him? When his best friends since childhood starting shunning him and he knew it would be forever?

It wasn't the worst year of his life when his Dad showed him the door and he was up to the eyeballs in debt & jobless? Landing in a country where he didn't speak a word of the language?

Or when he had to work through the loss of his faith and the realisation that he would never, ever see his mum again? That his mum had completely ceased to exist?

I think his sense of perspective is completely skewed.🤷🏻

Kim S He may have wanted the data however IICSA said no. To continue pressing and criticizing iicsa for not insisting WT provide the data, isn’t a great way to endear iicsa to your cause.

I'm not sure if iicsa gave a reason for not requesting the data. It may be that they did not have the power, did not have the remit, or....and this is my theory .....that in their view the 'numbers' were not that relevent.

What I mean by that is that if Watchtower policies are the cause of abuse going unreported and children suffering, it should not matter how many kids are affected. Even one child is bad enough. If it was just the data that was important, if it was just about numbers, at what figure is the trigger point for action to be taken? Is it 50 children? 100? 1000? That would be an obscene concept - to say that 49 children 'sacrificed' to Watchtower is acceptable, but 50 isn't. In that sense I can understand why data wasn't important to iicsa.

I mean don't get me wrong, it makes for good headlines. Which may have been his priority?

Wall.E. As far as I can see everyone on this thread with the exception of Kim & Simon has used pseudonyms, so it really couldn't be proven who said what. Even 'Newly Enlightenment' could be anyone within their family. I also wouldn't worry because nothing you have posted is offensive or untrue. It's not even unkind. Please don't worry.

In addition to searching for new ways to get paid via YT & Patreon, Jabba the Hutt is still whining about not getting paid for being a Core Participant at IICSA.

Nobody asked Lloyd Evans to be a "core participant" - for which he has constantly crowed about ever since. He even paid a lawyer to force them to accept him. Why would they pay any attention to him? He's not a victim, parent of a victim, or someone who worked within the organisation. As far as they're concerned, he's an ex member with a grudge.

All the evidence they need, aside from victim statements, is right there in print. Watchtower is damned by it's own publications.

And by the way I'm pretty sure that it's Arthur weber who does all the transcript of all those convention videos, which is a lot of work! Like L.E. give him $ for that...I don't think so...

Having a son with autism this annoys me since he's clearly taking advantage here.I would like to think he reimburses him something for it but I highly doubt it.

Despite great effort, there will be small mistakes. He may be unwilling to expose himself to criticism.

I know. I find it really strange that someone with an obvious ability with language hasn't learned the language of the country he's lived in for 17 years, when he's actually living with a family who speaks that language!

I was always surprised he didn't do at least a few videos in Croation (if he cares about waking JWs up as much as he claims). Either he won't get enough views or he's promised the in-laws not to.

Watchtower looses Norwegian Appeal

watchtower has just lost its appeal in the norwegian courts over the withdrawal of the funding it receives from the government as an officially recognised religion.

the initial decision will now stand due to what the court termed 'exclusionary practices' which includes the witnesses barbaric practice of shunning minors, even by family members in their own homes.

the ministry of children and families have decided they are now no longer eligible for the state grant of 16 million norwegian kroner given to officially recognised religions.. the following is a statement has been issued, i have summarised if it isn't readable: .

That is a completely specious argument. The state removes children from parental care if the children are in dire risk and as for prison, either parents or kids are put in custody if they break the law!! Believe me in Europe for the courts to put a parent with dependent children in prison the crime has to be pretty bad, too.
Jehovah's witnesses are known to practice social isolation within the home and by family members which is child abuse by any metric.

St. George of England I doubt it. This is how it used to be in the UK years ago. The wedding was conducted at the KH and then the couple went to the Registrar's Office for the legal part, or as often happened at our KH, the Registrar came along to the KH, sat through the service and then did the signing of the register.

Yes it's always been that way in the UK. I think now the registrar observes the ceremony and then ensures the couple & witnesses sign the wedding registry.

I presume in Norway officially registered religions are permitted to perform their own legal ceremony. Once Watchtower is longer registered it will be as in the UK, the registrar will attend the kingdom Hall in order to officiate the legal part of the ceremony.
