  StephenLaLiberte He was very judgmental in his way of teaching and perhaps he hit a point where he could no longer rationalize some of the things he's seen and thus, started to judge his own group, religion, including himself. This has happened to many zealots in the past, why not AM3?

  That's a very good point. Thank you. Of course Paul of the New Testament is the classic example.

  What brought this to mind was something else JT mentioned and that was that for the GB to make a change on an issue, it used to be they only had to have a majority vote (can't remember the percentage). However now apparently they all have to be in absolute agreement. No dissenters or abstainers.
  So I wondered if he resigned because he couldn't or wouldn't agree with the others?

  On JT & pals livestream a Bethelite had said that they had been asked to pray for Ant Mo & family (in ?morning worship).

  If so it may be he's had some kind of break down (possibly drink related but more likely drink being a symptom of stress). Going off script could be one aspect of their concerns about him but they're the GB & they have the right to do so. I mean who is going to pull them up about it?

  I think there's a strong possibility Ant Mo took this decision himself? I know few of you will disagree, but there's a chance. He's the only father on the GB Is it possible all this CSA has finally gotten to him? Unlike other GB members, he's not commented on it, has he?

  Is it possible he's had a bust up with the others over it and just found it too much? Particularly with this suicide. Maybe he's the one that believes Jehovah has removed his blessing on the org?!!

  I just read Antmos bio on JWdotOrg. I'll get roasted for this but I was actually pretty moved by the stuff about Vietnam. Maybe because I've cared for a lot of dying people, young and old, but the piece about not letting the young, mortally wounded soldiers see it in his eyes that they were going to die when they ask him....🥺🥺😥jeeze, no wonder he drinks. I get it Toni.

  Uncle punky You probably right. If it's true his daughter-in-law has raised the issue, given he's referred to as 'Brother' & no mention of his leaving Bethel, it could simply be his drinking has finally caught up with him and they've called 'time gentlemen please' on the boozing🍺🍷🍸

  I can't help but think this has something to do with Pennsylvania. There's ten now (one due to be served). One Elder suicide. Shapiro was as good as his word.

  Has Morris stepped down to avoid being subpoenaed as a governing Body member ????

  Apparently they're in the process of investigating if the "cover up" went higher than the congregation elders...so we're talking COs, Branch and of course HQ.

  We know it did and does!! Maybe they're planning on removing any GB members who were in positions of authority during the period the crimes took place ie the service committee would be one area.

  Divisions deliberately caused by God?

  assuming that you don't dismiss genesis outright as a collection of myths, i was musing about the actions of god as recorded in genesis 11:1-9 regarding the building of the tower of babel.. this origin story for the multiplicity of languages in the earth has god getting annoyed with humans for staying in one location instead of filling out across the whole world.. yahweh could have stopped the tower being built by collapsing it by means of an earthquake, sinking sand, or an extreme gale.

  even using an angel to kick it over when everyone was tucked up in bed asleep.

  but no, instead he muddles up the vocabulary and grammar and made brand new languages creating division and confusion.. what's more he didn't scatter them and send them off in mixed multicultural groups, but instead he lets them wander off in tribes and family groups.

  Also, confusing languages is rather ridiculous when you realise how quickly two people with different languages can learn to communicate and speak each others languages when they have to.
