144,000_and_oneAdditionally, serving the defendants in this situation is not as simple as hiring a process server to serve them. It will require lawyers (and payment of lawyer fees) in every country where a defendant resides, as well as a thorough analysis of treaties that may exist between the countries governing the exercise of jurisdiction by Croatian courts in the other countries as well as an analysis of the relevant laws in of each of the countries where a defendant resides. This would be a very expensive feat to pull off, and based on the publicly available financial statements relating to his business that I was able to observe online, I don't believe that he has anywhere near the financial resources necessary to pull that off.
Exactly, to pull that sort of stunt off in the UK he'd need to hire solicitors and a KC(s) with expertise in both UK and Croatian law, (as you say) the various treaties & agreements they have between both countries and the emerging and probably fairly specialised legal knowledge around digital media.
You'd have to shit gold bricks to pay for that little lot in one country, let alone four or whatever it is.
I actually think Marc/Cora and Kim have a far better chance of suing him for calling them criminal liars all over social media (& I'm pretty certain on at least one relevent occasion when he was on UK soil).

All the Old JW Acquaintances Passing Away
by StephaneLaliberte inyesterday, my dad told me an older sister passed away.
she wasn't too old (in her 60s), but i knew her 30 years ago and haven't seen her in 15 years; the main reason being that i faded 10 years ago.. yesterday, i seriously considered attending the funeral and catch-up with old jws i used to know.
after thinking it over, i decided against it.

Ron W.Then he says to my dad who can't function, is in pain and totally housebound, that he would pick him up and get him to the very important elders meeting with the c.o. on friday...
When my dad tried to kindly explain that he was too ill to attend the co-ordinator cut the call short and said he didn't have time to listen to all of my dad's health problems.
I'm so angry I can't speak. I know this religion inside out yet it still manages to make me despair of the human race!
Do these elders enjoy their power so much they're willing to collude to service a billion dollar industry at the expense of the most vulnerable? And they dare to say it's Christian love?! 😡

but in the longer term doesn’t bode well for him when it does fail.
I'm wondering if it's already failed. I'm wondering if in Croatia truly absurd complaints just get ignored?
I understood this was a law only used by the government, previously?(cooked up to control dissent?) If that's the case maybe they think he's bonkers and have quietly binned the whole thing??
Can anyone correct me on this?

Charles the Third and the Two-Headed Beast
by Anony Mous ini was reading an article about the pomp and circumstance around the first coronation in nearly a century.. made me think of the revelation book (the red one, not the bible) and the picture of the two headed beast with a sword and if i have some time today i will see if i can’t find it and age it a bit, it seems the sword is a bit dull and the two heads are now both octogenarians with severe dementia, kind of funny to see that instead of “swift judgment” we’ve come to internal decay.. what do you canadians, english, scots, irish and australians think about your new leadership?.

I'm actually vaguely embarrassed about it all. I'd like someone with psychological insight to weigh in about why that is🤦🏻♀️😂
Annoy mousYour take on Ireland is interesting. When I was young years ago I was up in the mountains in Spain with some Irish friends & we were talking to some elderly villagers.
They were surprised when they learned I was English & my friends were from the republic. "But aren't you bitter enemies?" they asked...of course we all roared with laughter.
The irony was that whilst my maiden name is very Irish, some of my Irish friends had English names. You are correct the British don't really view the Irish as not British. How they see us may be another matter😂

Someone's asking on Reddit if I can confirm Dijana is the source of the emails. Can Kim confirm it?

Is a piano inevitable?
by slimboyfat ini was at a concert last night and the presence and stature of the piano struck me.
and i thought: if the piano wasn't invented when it was, would it have been invented by someone else instead?
or if there was a world the same as our, except with a different history, would it have pianos now too or would it be modern world, similar in many respects, only without pianos?

wrote my undergraduate thesis on Beckett's Molloy trilogy (and a few other things). No Joyce means no Beckett, or at least not as he became
One thing is for sure ...if he hadn't married (finally)Nora Barnacle, at the very least his works would not have been the same and definitely not exist in a form we'd recognise.

The Suicide of Jason R: a rational battlecry
by inkling inok, here is a short introduction:.
worf has posted an email sent to him by someone who claims: to have testified.
in court in a case involving the illegal digging up of the body of a young bethelite .

New Boy I know you've mentioned a young suicide whilst you were at Bethel or shortly before?
What do u think of this story?
Regarding this thread, is it possible a Watchtower doctor could lie about cause of death on the death certificate? Surely it's not possible to claim someone who threw themselves from a high building, died of an aneurysm? To diagnose an aneurysm you need an autopsy, for an autopsy you need a coroner! (Lying to the parents would be pointless, too, because they'd see the death cert.)
It's not about would they lie (we know they would) but more to the point could they?
As to why he took his life, it could have been because he was same sex attracted. Any high up or anointed Bethelite propositioning him may have led him to question his faith, not even necessarily a GB member. Especially if it made him aware of other Bethelite relationships.
Unless a Watchtower doctor falsified his death cert & Watchtower cremated him without the correct legal documents, I can't see how this could happen?
The only thing we know for sure is that this young man tragically died from his own hand.
Dan wanted to know immediately who it was. He wouldn't tell him, said he wanted the guy to turn himself in. Which he did a couple days later.
Yeah...we don't police each other as Christians - you must turn yourself in or else!!
We need two witnesses before we can take action on any sin...unless it affects Watchtower then it's only one!

Just read that Carl Olof Jonsson died yesterday
by slimboyfat infor newbies, who was carl olof jonsson?
he was a jw in sweden who was challenged by a householder in the 1960s, who pointed out to him that secular history books don’t agree with watchtower that jerusalem was destroyed in 607 bce, but instead place the event 20 years later.
the reason the date is important is because it is the starting date for jw chronology which leads to 1914 as the end of the gentile times, and the beginning of the last days, as jws understand it.

Me I'm very ignorant about all this but weren't there Jews left behind in Jerusalem who could easily have began preparations particularly as they were working class and likely to be the kind to do most of the actual rebuilding / cleaning etc?.
Jeffro I was referring to preparations for making the trip from Babylon to Jerusalem rather than preparation for rebuilding Jerusalem.
Apologies for the confusion I didn't put it very clearly. What I meant was that having people in and around Jerusalem (probably old servants & their famillies) would help speed up preparations. (I'm sure they dispatched messengers to Jerusalem straight away) I just imagined they wouldn't need to take so much if things were waiting on their arrival? Just a supposition that would speed up the job?
