I - like Paul Grundy of JWfacts.com - always imagined Geoff Jackson would be the GB member most likely to turn on Watchtower policy.
Sadly seeing him be so disingenuous at the Australian Royal Comission scuppered any such hope pretty fast.
In his defence he was born-in and indoctrinated pretty thoroughly (his parents converted Grundy's family). He also lost a beloved first wife to cancer which can make you cling to paradise hope. Ssome people judged him for marrying their old 'pioneer partner' from the Polynesian islands after she died. I believe his motives were more noble in bringing a devoted, but poor, dear friend to bethel (let's face it he could have had any hot youngster he wanted)

If membership, WT style, is not allowed until age 18, then at least the WT's claws are blunted somewhat, while freedom of religion is not being interfered. The rights to vote, drink alcohol and drive are all age dependent.

Yes. The video he made before the whole thing came out, when he said he needed a mental health break etc (in his cold narcissistic rage mode), I thought he looked like he was taking amitriptyline - which can be habit forming - but it could easily have been Xanax, too (or the Croatian version). so, i finally saw the annual meeting video part 2.. this is the one with the “new light” on who might survive armageddon, vs. those who do not.. in summary, for those of you fortunate enough not to have to sit through it, it’s something like this:.
old light: once the “great tribulation” starts, that’s it for non-jws.
the “door of the ark” is closed.
I think this may all be a build up to them shuttling 1914. We knew they'd have to at some point, but when they do they immediately loose their authority. They'll definitely come up with something else that does before they do, though, and whatever that thing is it may be the reason Ant Mo left the GB. He wouldn't agree to these changes (or ones to come) and left of his own volition, which explains the house and stipend.

There's no way they haven't been reading apostate sites! I think even the GB are so unable to think for themselves - think critically - they get much of their new light from 'helpers' who've been listening to us. Listening to our reasoning over why they loose adherents and cannot make new ones.
