Hard-core indoctrination ? Protection from the ORG? Sounds like the Mob......There are good people , and Bad People. No one sticks a gun to anyones head and makes them be a JW, Baptist, or Scientology or what ever. This is a ROTTEN WORLD for the most part from the view I see. None of us on this board, NONE ! knows if a certain individual is good enough to be on this earth except GOD.I have met really nice people who were into child porn.People I would have never judged that way. They will ALL have to answer for anything, any secrets, or conduct not seen by us. Being a JW doesn't say , I AM IN !!

Interesting Thought about JW's and People Outside the Org
by Mrs. Witness inon another thread, aude sapeare said:.
jws make this huge assumption that once you leave the 'protection' of the org, you will go off the deep end and become totally irresponsible, drink, smoke, do drugs and have sex with anyone and anything.. that is what i have been fighting with my husband about for 3 years now.
when he was kicked out of his jw's mom's house when he was 15, that is exactly what he did for about 20 years.

Conversion Went Badly
by VoidEater inmy aunt's father, a formerly life-long adherent to the apostolic church, became a witness last year.. i just learned he went to the last assembly and died.
tripped and hit his head on an armrest.. i'm waiting for the next round of email that talks about jehovah protecting his people with guardian angels.
maybe he missed the memo that this guy was entitled to divine intervention..

Working in the First Aid department at conventions , many things happened to people during the sessions. Some serious.I worked quick bill projects and saw a heart attack that was fatal. It was one of my best friends father. While on an ambulance I went to the kingdom hall for a fatal heart attack. The brother collapsed, hit the wall, made a hole in the sheetrock. So things happen. It happens to the best and worst of us.

ATTN Medical/ Legal experts: What can be done to make sure you receive a blood transfusion?
by JimmyPage inmany people here are probably in this spot: let's say you were raised a jw and everyone in your family is a jw.
you're in an accident, knocked unconscious, and need a blood transfusion.
what can be done to make sure you get one and that your family doesn't step in and say, "he's a jw, he doesn't take blood"?.

I think you have forgotten your god given right. If you are one of Jehovah's Witnesses,or if you are not or no longer represent yourself as one of JWs,you getting Blood is up to you and only you. I have seen death up close and personal and it is between you and God only. All the no brain comments about JWs is stupid. What they do is a way of lifeto them like a Mormon,Catholic,Amish, etc. You are an adult and know the risk or the benefits. As a Paramedic,For an Example if you are involved in an accident or a medical event suddenly requiring blood,99 % chance family will not be there in time to interfere. Don't sweat the little stuff my friend.....
