Bobcat: Yes, the database in the MEPS Research Explorer does have all the publications the Watch Tower Society had ever published in digital form. It's not that huge. The English version of Watchtower Library 2012 has less than 140 MB of text-only publication data and a 153 MB large index of all the words used in the publications. I suppose that a full database would take up less than 1.5 GB. In contrast, the PDF publications posted on JW.org are much larger, only the Books and Brochures section of PDF files is somewhere around 21.5 GB.

Entire WT Library From Beginning
by admirmitch ini had an idea to which i don't even know if it would be feasible but i'd like to throw it out regardless.
i figured this is the best place to post since this is the forum that gets the most traffic.
however, this question is tech related.

New Light on the New Light!!
by The Searcher injust discovered that the 'new light' regarding the the identity of the 'slave' is not so new.
in the brochure "who are doing jehovah's will today?
", (brought out months before the annual meeting) it clearly states in the first paragraph in section 19 that "jesus would appoint the slave - during the time of the end!!

This is consistent, since the new brochures were not supposed to be used in the ministry until after the Annual Meeting, usually there is an article in Our Kingdom Ministry outlining the most effective use of the new literature.

"Last days" of John 6:53-57
by pixel inreading this section from jwfacts http://www.jwfacts.com/watchtower/144000.php (thanks for that excellent website!
) i came across this scripture: .
john 6:53-57 "accordingly jesus said to them: "most truly i say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the son of man and drink his blood, you have no life in yourselves.

It doesn't refer to the anointed, because Jesus made the Kingdom covenant later, when he instituted the Memorial of his death.

Evidently, the "last day" Jesus spoke of in the Gospel account refers to his Millenial reign, during which the general resurrection would take place. It is to be noted that eating Jesus' flesh and drinking his blood, used here, has nothing in common with the Lord's Supper that took place about year later. Thus partaking of Jesus' flesh and blood in the context of this scripture should be understood in a figurative, symbolic sense as refering to exercising faith in him.

Confidential Materials!
by Atlantis inall documents of important nature such as, our kingdom ministry, boe letters, forms, or other materials will now be sent only by email or private message communications.
they will not be posted out here on the board.
if someone else wants to post them, be my guest.. .. we have no other choice in this matter, and sending out confidential documents is better when it is done privately.

New Light on the GB's new elite status still NOT AVAILABLE on JW.org in other languages (8 days later)
by Calebs Airplane inso far, available in english only... i guess there is a lead time for the interpreters.... this presents an opportunity for those who attend non-english congregations to ask their jw friends important questions on this subject, have them research the wt cd and then present this new light as a "possibility".... for example, you can ask them questions like:.
what would you say if i told you that the governing body no longer represents the annointed (a.k.a the fds)?what would you say if i told you that charles taze russell is no longer considered a part of the faithful & discreet slave?what would you say if i told you that, even though the publications say the fds started in 33, they have only been around for 94 years?i'm pretty sure you will be viewed as an apostate... until this news on the annual meeting shows up in their language.
just a thought.... .

In 1992 there was the Live Forever a.k.a. Paradise book (full title You Can Live Forever in Paradise on Earth), released 1982, revised 1989. It was used as the primary Bible study aid until 1995, when the Knowledge book (Knowledge That Leads to Everlasting Life) was released. The Knowledge book was eventually superseded by the current Bible Teach book (What Does the Bible Really Teach?), published in 2005 with two illustrations updated in the 2006 reprint.
After completing this first Bible study aid, the student (even if baptized by the time they finished this first book) would go on studying a second book. Indeed in the '80s and up to 2002 this was the United in Worship of the Only True God, released in 1983. This book was reedited with some significant changes and published as Worship the Only True God to be released at the 2002 district conventions. The current book on Christian conduct and principles regarding this is called "Keep Yourselves in God's Love", released in 2008.
Starting 1996-1997, some would start a Bible study using the What Does God Require of Us? brochure (this Require brochure was released in 1996) before heading to the first study aid. This role will be taken next year by the brochure released this year and titled Good News From God!
