Actually there isn't a change in wording. The original wording in the February 2017 Watchtower, study edition, is the same. The alternate wording is the one in the simplified edition of The Watchtower.

Changed Wording in February 2017 WT Article
by Ding inthe february 2017 wt had stated that the gb is "neither inspired nor infallible" and that it can make errors in doctrine.. the language of the online wt issue now says, “the governing body is neither inspired nor perfect.
therefore, it can make mistakes when explaining the bible or directing the organization.”.
why the change?

They've had helpers since at least 1992. There was an article in the Watchtower stating that the helpers (of the other sheep) were the modern-day Nethinim of the time of Solomon.
Milton Henschel died in 2003, not in 2000.
The Governing Body members resigned as directors of the corporations as of January 2001. Some of the helpers serve in various executive positions instead. Since this organizational change, publications are said to be "published by Jehovah's Witnesses" instead of "published by the Watch Tower Society" (in footnotes and explanatory sentences in publications), and also the US branch is no longer referred to as "the Society", but as the "US branch office" (since it is legally represented by a different corporation—the "Christian Congregation of Jehovah's WItnesses").
There were 13 GB members in 2000: Samuel Herd, Stephen Lett, Gerrit Lösch, David Splane, Lyman Swingle (d. 2001), Milton Henschel (d. 2003), Ted Jaracz (d. 2010), Karl Klein (d. 2001), Albert Schroeder (d. 2006), Dan Sydlik (d. 2001), Carey Barber (d. 2007), Jack Barr (d. 2010), Guy Pierce (d. 2014).
Geoff Jackson and Tony Morris were appointed in 2005, Mark Sanderson was appointed in 2012.

As of the 2015 DVD release, the plan is to release updates twice a year: in July and in January.
The current update added the 10 Questions brochure, the study edition of Mark, the Glossary, and all the 2016 periodicals dated until June 2016 (The Watchtower, Awake! and the Meeting Workbooks)
The old, out-of-print publications are not affected. The publications that are still in use have their most recent editions (as was always the case) in the library.

A question about the animated videos
by no-zombie inhas anyone found out who really produces the animated videos of caleb and sophia?
are the made in-house or contracted outside?.
-
Caminante
Yes, all audio-video, including Caleb and Sophia, is produced in-house 100%. I beleive they use Autodesk Maya for the animation. I remember a couple of years ago they were scouting for experienced Maya animators through letters sent to circuit overseers. Some of the footage included in the videos is stock footage purchased from external providers (Getty, iStock, Shutterstock etc.), but everything else is produced in Patterson.

@disfellowshipped1: the "Teach Us" book cover posted on the JW Archive forum seems to be either a fake mockup or a very early draft of the cover. Some facts about it: 1) the font used with the white text is indeed Watchtower's very own WtKnollTextMedium, but 2) the title does not match to the one in the October 4 letter, 3) the letter says that the cover is "slightly altered" to the cover of the "Bible Teach" book (this mockup is completely different), and 3) the text next to the QR code (tu-E \n 150408) is set in the wrong font and the wrong size (it should be URW Nimbus Sans D Extended). Moreover the printing date of 150408 claims that the cover was scheduled to printing on April 8, 2015. -

1919 Doctrine no longer exists? (Today's Watchtower Study)
by FusionTheism inquote from today's watchtower study article that's being studied at the halls (march 15, 2015, page 24):.
"understanding the illustration of the talents".
"when the master rewards the slaves.".

@Splash: While some of the anointed have already received their heavenly reward as of 1918 and onward (per JW doctrine), it would make sense that the understanding that they would 'communicate the truth' to the ones on Earth has been dropped completely when they revised the definition of the "faithful and discreet slave." A study article in 2009 titled The Faithful Steward and Its Governing Body had already paved the path to the current understanding. The article made it crystal clear rank and file anointed have no special status in the congregation and must submit themselves to appointed elders from among the "other sheep." In recent years there hasn't been any consideration of the role the anointed play before receiving their authority during the great tribulation and the Millenial kingdom.
So 1919 does keep its significance in Watchtower eschatology as the year when Jesus supposedly appointed the 'faithful slave' composed of J. F. Rutherford and his team on the top of the Watch Tower Society. This way, the Governing Body ejected, so to speak, Charles Taze Russell of out of the equation of being part of the "slave," thus distancing the current organization further away from its Bible Student roots or loosening the importance of these roots theologically speaking.

@leaving_quietly: Yes, since this book is a reworking or reboot of the "Greatest Man" book, most of the text and artwork stems from that book. There are a few completely new illustrations, and even existing ones have been updated or enhanced digitally.
@hoser: While the concept heavily borrows from the "Greatest Man" book, this new rendition of Jesus' biography features a more structured layout (chapters are grouped into units; there is a Scripture index, an index of the parables, and a list of Messianic prophecies in the back matter), uses up-to-date language and features up-to-dae interpretations of the parables and prophetic features.

WT Magazine Font Style
by inbyathread in.
can anyone tell me what the name of the font style the wts uses for the watchtower cover.
thanks.

The logo is coded into the WtAtArtwork, but it's based on WtGaramondMedium, which used 99% Berthold Garamond / Garamond BE / URW Garamond T letterforms. Indeed it's an in-house rendition of Berthold Garamond Semibold.
