"In the future, simpler language will be used in the study edition of The Watchtower."
How much simpler can they go?!
december 28, 2016 to all congregations re: one study edition of the watchtower in languages other than english.
dear brothers:.
for several years, the simplified edition of the watchtower has been produced in french,.
"In the future, simpler language will be used in the study edition of The Watchtower."
How much simpler can they go?!
available for download.
just remember to reject the "automatic updates" from the org.. http://avoidjw.org/watchtower-library/.
Yes, the link at the top of the page on AvoidJW is the 2016 edition of Watchtower Library—On DVD-ROM. That link is listed separately from the 2015 and earlier editions.
we are almost in 2017 and some 3 to 4 years have passed since the release of the 2013 revised nwt.
also, i am supposed to believe much money has been spent on rto's.
and as the end is even closer, i should have access to the "best translation ever" in my own language...how else can i be saved???.
The 2013 revision has been released in 31 languages for the full Bible and 25 further languages just the Greek Scriptures (languages that didn't have any New World Translation previously). Languages where the bi12 (1984 revision of the New World Translation) was released after 2001 or 2002 will not have the 2013 revision translated, because those translations already incorporate many of the updated renderings (e.g. Romanian, which was released in 2006 — we received a letter stating that the revised Bible will not be released in Romanian). I haven't seen it officially confirmed, but the languages where the bi12 Bible was printed with gray covers will not feature the nwt Bible.
In total, the New World Translation is already available in over 140 languages (bi7, bi12 and nwt combined).
i'd like to as the question, when will construction at warwick finish?
will it be before the 2017 agm?i'm asking because, if the construction is basically finished by then, the gb could be free to release more 'new light'.its hardly likely that they would announce big changes that might effect the willingness of their laborers to continue working for free.
so i'm sort of hoping, all the big stuff will be done by then.
The organization already moved to Warwick in September this year. The January episode for JW Broadcasting was already taped in the Warwick studio.
the february 2017 wt had stated that the gb is "neither inspired nor infallible" and that it can make errors in doctrine.. the language of the online wt issue now says, “the governing body is neither inspired nor perfect.
therefore, it can make mistakes when explaining the bible or directing the organization.”.
why the change?
Actually there isn't a change in wording. The original wording in the February 2017 Watchtower, study edition, is the same. The alternate wording is the one in the simplified edition of The Watchtower.
i have been out and away from that cult since 2001. back then there were 12 members of the governing body, and now i'm learning that number has come down to 7. when did this change take place, and what was their reason for dropping the number?.
They've had helpers since at least 1992. There was an article in the Watchtower stating that the helpers (of the other sheep) were the modern-day Nethinim of the time of Solomon.
Milton Henschel died in 2003, not in 2000.
The Governing Body members resigned as directors of the corporations as of January 2001. Some of the helpers serve in various executive positions instead. Since this organizational change, publications are said to be "published by Jehovah's Witnesses" instead of "published by the Watch Tower Society" (in footnotes and explanatory sentences in publications), and also the US branch is no longer referred to as "the Society", but as the "US branch office" (since it is legally represented by a different corporation—the "Christian Congregation of Jehovah's WItnesses").
There were 13 GB members in 2000: Samuel Herd, Stephen Lett, Gerrit Lösch, David Splane, Lyman Swingle (d. 2001), Milton Henschel (d. 2003), Ted Jaracz (d. 2010), Karl Klein (d. 2001), Albert Schroeder (d. 2006), Dan Sydlik (d. 2001), Carey Barber (d. 2007), Jack Barr (d. 2010), Guy Pierce (d. 2014).
Geoff Jackson and Tony Morris were appointed in 2005, Mark Sanderson was appointed in 2012.
every year i install the wt library on cd or dvd to my wife's laptop.
the 2015 dvd seemed no different than normal but today when she opened it up it said updates are available and to download updates.
it updated to 2016 magazines,and study articles.etc.
As of the 2015 DVD release, the plan is to release updates twice a year: in July and in January.
The current update added the 10 Questions brochure, the study edition of Mark, the Glossary, and all the 2016 periodicals dated until June 2016 (The Watchtower, Awake! and the Meeting Workbooks)
The old, out-of-print publications are not affected. The publications that are still in use have their most recent editions (as was always the case) in the library.

has anyone found out who really produces the animated videos of caleb and sophia?
are the made in-house or contracted outside?.
Yes, all audio-video, including Caleb and Sophia, is produced in-house 100%. I beleive they use Autodesk Maya for the animation. I remember a couple of years ago they were scouting for experienced Maya animators through letters sent to circuit overseers. Some of the footage included in the videos is stock footage purchased from external providers (Getty, iStock, Shutterstock etc.), but everything else is produced in Patterson.

this article is sad.
but what amazes me is her jw family is accepting donations or has to resort to the very worldly people they look forward to being destroyed.
