I'm trying to squeeze the best out of Now, and not let every little worry about the situation cloud my peace. I do have a concern that he will suddenly want to become, his words, "humble" again and start going back after the baby is born, but if I start putting to much thought into it, or mention to him, it might become the reality. I'm thankful for my JW free moments!

Hello, 'tis I, sorta girlfriend to the biggest convaluted part-time Dubby in the world. All is calm on the shores of complicationville, and I have the baby at the end of June. Well now, Boyfriend's family has stabilized and he is not attending meetings or study regularly anymore. It's warm out, and he just bought a new bike a few months ago. He also bought a new expensive american sports car. To quote the amazing Eckhart Tolle "Man made God in his own image." He saw something shiny and found a new idol for the time being. Besides the baby he has a zillion other projects going on, he's in a good mood, and evidently not feeling guilty enough to go to meetings unless a family member asks. No talk of religion in nearly a month. My father has been put on "Dub Patrol" for my hospital stay though. If people want to come and see my baby, thats fine, but no Watchtowers allowed. Same thing for my coming home, still doped up on meds, days. But BF knows me well enough to know to tell them back off, she's intelligent, vicious, and has stitches.
I quoted Eckhart Tolle, I've whole heartly bit into his work. He's amazing. It makes TO much sense. He's also teaching me not to resist and be tolerable of the situation. It takes work, though. I hope one day my Rubba Dub will see that God is far to concerned with other things then to be a dirty old pervert, riding a thunder cloud, peeking under bed sheets, and only conversing with a few old men in Brooklyn, NY.

JW views on Mental Health & Counseling
by Confuzzled ini am considering getting couples counseling for the jw boyfriend and i. he's open to it.
he got help himself for an issue recently, but it was in the short term, and it went well for him.
i want to know if we started going regularly, and his mentor got wind of it, what are the jw views on mental health help?

Ahhhhh the saga of Confuzzled's boyfriend and his many hiccups. Him being a fickle JW study isn't even the biggest issue (it just puts rainbow sprinkles on everything). I hate digging up old bones again and again. Search: "Confuzzled" and my prior threads will give you (most) of the story.

One of our issues are most certainly going to be my lack of respect of his religion. I will surely ask shrink if JWs fall under cult status in their opinion.

I want to know if we started going regularly, and his mentor got wind of it, what are the JW views on mental health help? Is there any superstitions or stigmas attached? Is there likely to be grumbling?

What was the 5/1/10 Talk On?
by Confuzzled ini need to be prepared.
bf was awful chipper after the meeting today..

Funny I always thought it was bullshit. Oh, and if you don't know what the talk was on, it means he was lied too. He puts his glazed donut gaze on when he talks about how all KH the world over discuss the same topic every Sunday and how amazing it is they all discuss the same thing.

BTW ending an argument with a sarcastic "You will let me know when the new system is here right?" is never a positive way to end a conversation.

Watchtower Signage
by jgnat ini've complained before about the stuffy signage in assembly halls.
with the help of modern technology, i've managed to capture some original images.. .
"please ensure door is tightly closed at all times" - note use of passive voice, and excessive verbiage.

Seems like they are not above
"Wipe throughly Front To Back and Wash hand Throughly"

What is the J.W. position on video games?
by outlander inwant to study with me last winter.
he came into my house and while walking around looking at things he noticed my shelved collection of video games, some going back 15 years, but most old playstation rpg and racing games, a few ps2 rpg'd mixed in.
the usual stuff, final fantasy and such.

I'm just struck by the sheer ballsy-ness to waltz into somebody's home and look through their belongings, visible or not! I bet they go through medicine cabinets too.
