Wonderful thoughts on mortality. The twilight will become night.
I will be 70 next year. Aging is not for wimps!
Be well dear CoCo.
sleep shall come, perhaps not today, but soon, an eternal, blessed slumber.
that bids farewell to suffering that eventrue love, in no measure, can assuage.. why such anguish, borne upon once broadshoulders that now do sag, no longer able.
to withstand the weight of both our worlds?come, o sleep, on velvet wings of night..

i am approaching 76 years old.
i can clearly recall that awake!
statement and similar during the pre-1975 hype -- "staying alive in '75", et al.
I remember, thought that it could well happen. I was 22, and knew I was not going to survive... So went a little wild. I wasn't baptized and decided to find out what worldly meant. I was already "out". Living away from family and traveled (not to assemblies) to Europe. I loved freedom. Never looked back. What a surprise when nobody died in 1975.
anyone else also hold this view or understand it at least, or do you feel the need to argue that both can in no way coexist?.
If he did create life, he walked away 10 minutes later.
i haven`t seen much if anything on the rio olympic games on this forum , i can`t believe their is so little interest in such a sporting event that is televised world wide.. i don`t get to watch everything , but events i do like to see when i can are, track and field ,gymnastics ,swimming , diving ,and their are a few other sports i will watch when they are on , especially if an australian is involved.. how about you ?
whats your favourite sport to watch ?.
has the "drug" issue affected your view of the games ?
I'm in the US.... I like the gymnastics and swimming, I have it on all the time though, mostly to avoid reruns this summer.
if a new topic hangs for ages with spinning icon at "queued for processing " should you give up and post a new copy of the thread or will the eventually result in two threads?.
if it has cleared the first tick "uploading post" can you safely click away from the page?.
servers seem a bit slow recently?.
I think we used to be able to see our limits for the day. Do we still have that option or did it go away when the changeover went into effect? If so how do we find it?

It's a keeper Terry, I am saving it to share some tidbits with my sister. She couldn't talk with me cause she was taking 3 friends to a convention this morning. Sigh
We need more! but I don't know how... Please.
anyone attending ?i have family still in that are there.
and i see on the local news that some of the protests are becoming rowdy.
i pray that they are safe because they have this deluded attitude that jehovah will keep them safe and nothing will happen to them.
My sister is heading to the convention at the TacomaDome today. She has been to this same one already in another state last month. She is a TRUE BELIEVER...Just makes me crazy!
once upon a time i started a thread who is your favorite thinker and got many responses.
however revisiting that thread i noted we were to modest to name ourselves or fellow posters.
i therefore think we are either complete idiots, or modesty aside we should now name names, and restrict our answers to posters on the board.. so who on this board is your favorite thinker and why?.
Farkel was the best! He and Leolaia own the history of the WT.
i'm wondering why believers remain members of this forum which is clearly hostile to believers.
as one member said, nonbelievers pounce on any semblance of belief like piranhas on prey.
as former jws we should have had our fill of judgmental know-it-alls, but here we are.
I arrived 7 years ago and the information here is wonderful. I check the "best of" section quite a bit, I am a fan of a few posters and have read most of Terry's and Leo's posts. I am a social christian and total agnostic.
The search function is really great. Any subject at your fingertips. I confess Simon threw me for a loop when the forums went to .com. It is coming together finally... This forum helps me broach subjects to the JW relatives I see occasionally.
