throughout the last couple days i've had problems viewing the avatars, likes and sometimes a post and the comment box.
at first i was able to rectify the problem by pressing refresh but now that is doing no good.
i've tried it in two browsers, ie and firefox but it's the same..
Same situation, just now every thing is OK, maybe you fixed it.
i think this is the first clear, official statement regarding hemoglobin-based products.
awake!
august 2006, front page title "blood: why so valuable?".
Any "new light"?
hi everyone i don't even know where to begin.
i recently saw leah remini's series on scientology thanks to my husband (semi-active jw) and i felt like my eyes were being opened for the 1st time in my adult life.
i felt shaken almost sick to my stomach with each episode i watched.
Armageddon is not just around the corner! They said that when I was in my teens and that was nearly 50 years ago. You have the rest of your own life, to plan, to retire, to explore without the witness blinders. Take your time, the search function on this site has sooo much information. Some of the older posts are wonderful; check out Amazing's posts about bringing his family out of that mess. He used family study time to ask questions and lead them slowly to logic (of all things).
Welcome to a long journey.
i can't even remember what got me interested in pans, probably wanting to try cooking more and watching some cooking videos on youtube, but i kind of started wanting to get a cast-iron skillet specifically so started reading up on them.
hey, if you're going to spend $50 on something you need to study them and create a comparison spreadsheet ... right?.
not only did cast-iron look great for cooking but there are some studies that show risks to aluminium / teflon cookware ... not that the wts was "right" about aluminium, but teflon can give off carcinogenic chemicals if overheated (so what if it chips off into your food?).
I love mine too, got them at estate sales long ago. Sometime you can find one at a thrift store or antique stores for less than the Lodge and so much better. Wish I could have my moms pans. If you have a self cleaning oven you can clean them in there too.
Don't drop them on your toes when barefoot. Ask me how I found out. Did you know they don't put a cast or brace on broken toes; just tape them to the next toe.
i did a quick search on this topic here and didn't come up with anything.
if anyone has the chance to watch this a&e documentary series on scientology hosted by leah remini it is very very good.
the parallels are just to obvious to ignore!
There is a thread about her and the show. I don't have A&E but my sister has fixated on it. A lot of the same situations as the witnesses. She has been telling me that they are worse in a lot of ways.
from their history, it is evident that jehovah's witnesses are just another doomsday cult.. cults are run by autocrats.
on purpose they are ideologically fixated and they demand that their devotees hold the same absolute certainty of belief without regard for evidence.
the suspension of critical thought is encouraged and by focussing on the objectives of the cult belief in a like minded community, it gives both a sense of direction within a sort of ‘family’ and a hope of paradise perfection.. the leaders have everything to gain by controlling their followers; all the income goes in their direction.. democracy has strictly no part in a running cult.
There is a family friend from Russia and the word is that religion is making a big comeback now that the government allows it. I believe the persecution complex that religion fosters (and it does) simply drives it underground. Disbanding the thing wont work. Letting it be exposed for what it is will more likely let it die with the elderly.
i browse this site on mobile and noticed that the thread post view is now stuck at 10. previously, i could set it at 20 and it stays that way, but now if i set it at 20, it goes back to 10 again the moment i click on another topic.
i hope that you can look into this as it is extremely irritating for me to keep having to change it.
i want to view as many posts as possible in one page!
Still doing this, how do I clear the cache in Edge?

I have this issue also, thought it was my computer settings (just got a new computer) or Edge which otherwise has been pretty good.
dear friends,.
one of my greatest enjoyments is a daily walk.
i see things in far greater detail than when i am driving by.
I really admire the word pictures (and actual photos) on this thread.
My son; when he was in high school complained about how wordy some required reading was; I explained that for many people in the 1800's travel was only available through books. So detailed descriptions of some areas was the only chance they would have to see those locations.
I have loved walking with you all.
