Freeways, I have driven on highways over the speed limit 70 mph in a 65 zone.... but put that same speed and limit on a freeway 5 lanes all going the same direction and I am white knuckled and cant breathe. Totally irrational. Make it rush hour and I will stay home.

If you have Windows 10 . . .
by compound complex inmy roommate bought a new dell laptop, operated by windows 10. in the three weeks he's had it, it's online then goes offline (and this repeatedly): when he goes from one e-mail to another, when he engages in a financial transaction, when he opens a new webpage, etc.
he does the basic rebooting, as prescribed in the article whose link is attached.
his pc and my older dell and apple powerbook are all on wifi.

For about a month I was losing my internet on a daily basis several times a day. Finally realized that I had made some changes (with the Ethernet cable) and decided to check all the updates on the computer. Don't quite know which one did it but this past week has been heaven.

Can I organize search results by date??
by Vetro inis it possible to organize term search results by date?
i search for something get dozens of results, but the dates they start at are completely random, 1 result was from 10 years ago, then last on the page was from a year ago, with random years and dates for the ones in between, this is very frustrating..

If you find an member who has a long history click on their name and messages 'last' that will bring up their oldest posts. Regular google may be an option too.
It may be better soon, someone said that Simon was working on some new stuff. He does have a day job and a family. He will likely stop in and let us know a better way to function on the site.

The Cookie Doesn't Lie !
by Billy the Ex-Bethelite inso after dc yesterday, we went for chinese.
after the others read their rather boring fortunes from their fortune cookies, mine predicted:.
the next full moon brings an enchanting evening.. and you all know the two words to add to the end of the fortune, right?.

It's about progress, not perfection...
by scratchme1010 ini guess at this point in time and space i'm ok if there's an indication of things going in the right direction.. my jw father, who joined the jws in 1973 when i was 8, has always had all the characteristics of the stereotypical brainwashed born again weirdo.
as a jw he always felt the need to show that he was more devoted than the rest of the crop.
to him, life became very easy from that point on: "the bible", interpreted by the millions of wt publications, along with the information in the meetings and getting involved in all jw activities, were the answer to everything and anything in his life".

Thanks for the update, can you tell the kids about when you were young and why things didn't make sense. Changes (new light) etc.; and ask what they are thinking. Keep encouraging education!
Keep us in the loop.

How/when did you become a jehovas witness?
by Lewis1998 inso i've been a protestant for most of my life, it's how i was raised, but recently i started questioning my faith more and more and now i feel like my beliefs resemble that of a jehovas witness rather than a protestant.
i don't know any jehovas witnesses, so i was just wondering how a lot of you found the religion and adapted to it?.

Lewis, this website is for EX Witnesses for the most part, I was raised in the religion and left after high school never being baptized. I still have some family in the faith so try to keep informed with current teachings. The religion has changed so much in the last 40 years I don't recognize most of the beliefs.

Went to the 69 assembly in Vancouver, my sister drove as I didn't drive then. She is still in and one of her sons, everyone else is out. Saw some cousins, and they are out. We were from Seattle and in those days we didn't need passports.

So whatever happened to Friend???
An interesting fellow indeed. I wonder if he drifted back to the watchtower.
