badseed....correct...be a Berean and test it with Scripture. I am right about many things and may be wrong about something. When it comes to WT, they are wrong more often than right, especially on the essentials. I am not wrong about the Deity and resurrection of Christ, the crux of the matter.

The Christian Onslaught
by satinka in*sigh* i have been noticing lately there are a number of groups of "christians" signing up as members of this forum, with the obvious agenda of gaining converts for their own cult-like religions.
i have been wondering things like:.
hmmm...maybe i'll try ignoring them.. thank you simon for the space to vent.. satinka.

You go girl...serve others, give the gift of life, etc., pleasing to God, displeasing to WT (Pharisees also hounded Jesus and Jesus saved his harshest words for them; JWs are modern day Pharisees in many ways).

Your points have been answered over and over elsewhere. e.g. not evening recognizing a figure of speech is a rookie mistake. I know the Bible is the Word of God and will stand up to scrutiny. I also know that if I systematically answered you, you would dismiss it or come up with more refuted points (whack a mole).
Sound like a JW? There is another prediction of the end of the world coming up. Just because he will be wrong again does not mean I am sounding like him if I say what Jesus did that He is coming back again (without setting a date). I am not like a JW claiming rejection of GB/WT is a rejection of God. I am simply saying that rejection of God is rejection of God (nothing to do with men). I am right to say this and JWs are wrong to say what they do, even if there is a vague sounding similarity despite different content.

What say you Christians ???
by wobble init seems to me that most, if not all christians are really hung up on sin and redemption from sin and how naturally evil we all are.. my question, and observation is this : i had nothing to do with whatever you say adam and eve did wrong, i have always, throughout my life, treated whoever i came into contact with compassion, respect and love.. i have lived by the golden rule.. not many people, hand on heart, can say that, i can.. so, is your god going to judge me for the "sin" of some mythical forebears of mine ?
is he going to say that , because i did not believe in him, i willl be judged adversely, even though i lived by the precepts he is supposed to support ?.
all i can say is, if your god is like that, i refuse to worship or acknowledge him.. and i certainly do not want to get to know him.

lovely: your optimistic view is not found in Revelation or history. Many will be saved during the Trib., but many will also perish hating God.
flyhigh: your I Cor. 15 proof text is out of context. The rest of Scripture shows a conditional element in receiving or rejecting His gift. Believers will be resurrected, but many simply will remain godless unbelievers and perish.

Hello
by Chariklo ini am new to this site, just finding my way around.. i've been studying with jw's for about 15 months.
i'm an unbaptised publisher, and until recently never missed a meeting, have been out "on the service" quite a lot.
i've been having difficulties with one of the jw's studying with me and something happened which was just unacceptable.

Run from the WT, but run to the Lord Jesus Christ, King of kings, and Lord of lords. Evangelical Christianity is more biblical than Roman Catholicism. Once you connect or reconnect with Jesus, find a Bible-believing, Christ worshipping local church with godly leadership. Don't return to a vacuum of no religion as an overreaction to almost getting burned.

God is love and God is holy. Jesus is YHWH, not Michael (JW), spirit brother of Lucifer (LDS), Rev. Moon (Moonies), mere prophet/man (Muslim), guru (New Age), etc. There is a heaven to gain and a hell to shun. Hell flows from the love of God, believe it or not (it was also created for Satan/demons, but men follow the enemy vs God so share his destiny).

Universalism is a heretical view, always has been, always will be (Jn. 3:16 vs Jn. 3:36). There is no second chance after death (WT and universalism is wrong Heb. 9:27).

Why do so many here think that poison and pure water are the same, that a counterfeit bill is the same as a genuine bill in the eyes of God and government? Why do people think 2+2=4 and 5 at the same time?

I do believe in consequences of sin affecting other generations, but this is not the same as moral, personal culpability for our specific sins. A fetal alcohol child is not morally culpable for mother's drunkenness, but is affected physically by it.
