I must be on drugs. Why am I so interested in WT history as a non-JW? Penton's book is very interesting. It is a God-given burden for these precious people who want to serve God, but are simply slaves to an organization without knowledge of God. Cults are fascinating, but frustrating. Hopefully understanding their history, leaders, doctrine will make one more effective to help others escape. Concerned Christians stand with ex-JWs in their scorn against the Society (but we also have a hope that ex types don't have, so we want to share this out of love).

revelation 5:11-14 nwt states and i saw, and i heard a voice of many angels around the throne and the living creatures and the elders, and the number of them was myriads of myriads and thousands of thousands, saying with a loud voice: the lamb that was slaughtered is worthy to receive the power and riches and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and blessing.
because it's an act of worship and it is not allow in your kingdom hall.

With God refutes oneness/modalism/Sabellianism, NOT trinitarianism. Was God refutes WT/JW Arianism. The verse is fully consistent with a triune understanding. The grammar will not allow any other interpretation. It is not a matter of being able to twist the verse based on other verses. The grammar, context, comparison with other verses all support the Deity of Christ. This verse cannot be made to support Arianism without violating the inspired grammar (why do JWs always think they are refuting trinity when they refute modalism?! Word with Father (ho theos) is fully trinitarian, anti-modalism. Jesus being true God vs false god is polytheism, contrary to Jewish-Johannine monotheism. Son of God is also equality with the Father since they share the same nature, though personally distinct.
Latin and Greek agree, as do KIT, but not NWT. The issue is Greek since this is original, unlike Latin, German, French, Chinese translations.

I am grieved that the popes of the WT were deceived and deceived others. It sounds like he was a control-freak and not Mr. Nice Guy. For all the criticism of Christendom's clergy (so-called), the WT popes have all kinds of hypocrisy, ignorance, and skeletons in their closet. Men will always let us down, so let us look unto Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith (the real Jesus, not jesus of the WT).

The trinity is about worshipping God in spirit and truth as He really is and as how He has revealed Himself. It separates YHWH from false gods and shows that God is relational, personal, loving, communicative, etc., even before creation.

He showed up at Church Sunday as we worshipped and exalted Him. His presence was palpable. We cannot rush His Second Coming and believers long for it (but unbelievers should fear it).
