I am on another forum and have 50K posts. Most of them are discussion, interaction. I find this forum has much WT or Christian bashing, promotion of atheism, etc. I find most do not bite on discussion about non-superficial issues and it is like pulling teeth to have a decent conversation that is not negative. I might default less to rescue mode if someone would show interest in engaging things on a more thoughtful, interesting level. But what do I know? I am the one on the chopping block.

What is your belief/world view now? Atheism, Islam, Buddhism?
Your view assumes that the Bible is not inspired revelation, historical narrative. Since it is, I stand on its evidence about Paul and Jesus (your theology is terrible).
I am not allowed to talk about Jesus leading up to my execution from this site, so can we talk about the weather? It might buy me a few more hours among friends and fiends?

I Cor. 11 is a direct reference quoting Christ's words and teaching on communion. Whether the word resurrection is used or not, the concept clearly is (cf. WT lame argument about word trinity not in Bible, yet concept is). I really don't get your pointless point. Acts 17:32 they understand that Paul was teaching about the resurrection of the dead ('raising him from the dead'= resurrection, you nit wit). I Cor. 15 does use the word resurrection 'anastasis' in Greek. Check English and Greek translations.
You are wrong and wasting my time. I gave you two e.g. and I am sure there are more.
Tell me what your agenda is or don't waste our time with your arrogant ignorance.
Franz is a pathetic man who ruined lives. He will give an account before God for suppressing truth and demanding compliance with things he was not sold on himself. Paul was one of the greatest Spirit-filled believers ever. Don't mention them side by side.

Penton knows the differences and documents them. I have just finished his book and am reading the footnotes that give supportive documentation. I have also read other historical sources about them. Your point is academic and moot compared to dealing with WT JWs at the door. The tiny splinter groups of Bible Students are virtually unknown and inconsequential. I used to be more familiar with Christian Science (Mary Baker Eddy), but there are so few around now that it is a much better use of time and energy to become familiar with Mormons, JWs, Muslims. I read the stuff, but did not memorize Penton's book like the Bible. It is of little interest to most, so you are just trying to waste my time or undermine my credibility. We are not all experts on everything. I would rather know the Bible than go back to the start of Penton's book to fish for your answer (I did give you an answer off the top of my head and read your post with an answer, but I am not a computer; we can google it, so buzz off).

When one has the genuine, the counterfeit is easy to spot. Become familiar with historical, biblical, orthodox Christianity and is becomes apparent that the new cults are pseudo-Christian (LDS, JW, Christian Science, original Armstrong WWCOG, etc.). Reject the false, but embrace the true, right, good.

Does Paul teach resurrection or not? If so, it does not matter if the word is used. Using your logic, Paul does not believe in the Father because He just uses God in some verses. Use a concordance to find out if Paul used the word (I assume he did, but an not sure). He did teach the concept in I Cor. 15. Mentioning the sayings and commenting on them are the same end result. I Cor. 11 has him quoting Jesus' words about the last supper/communion. I told you about F.F. Bruce who goes into more detail. What is your agenda? Any NT scholar will wonder why you are questioning these things? Jesus revealed things to Paul. His words are in the Gospels and Paul gives more revelation from God. Are you Jewish, anti-Paul?

This convention blows
by Anony Mous inseriously, half day in (already had an argument with the wife this morning about individuality in the organization in which she conceded that a lot of it is based on looks) and this is already getting on my nerves.
i'll post a rebuttal based on my annotations later in the week but one thing i got to get off my mind: saying the feminist movement (women going to work instead of staying home) and the diversity laws (allowing for homosexuality - but also religious freedom, racial discrimination etc.
) caused a lot of the problems in our world right from the stage.. there are less people here than last year - about 500 less..

Giving up all to follow God is no loss and great gain. Giving up much to follow WT is insanity. WT does not equal mediator/God.

concerned: there is a big difference between Rom. 13 government under God's delegated authority that does good, protects, etc. and Jim Jones who kills people in the name of religion despite being well organized in Guyana. Biblical elders bare no resemblance to GB, JW elders, etc. WT is autocratic and destroys lives, families, covers pedophilia contrary to wisdom from secular authorities that are more in line with God's Word on this point, shunning, blood transfusions, etc. etc. Hassan was a former Moonie and is not dishonest. Have you read his works cover to cover? If not, shut up. There is a difference between legit authority structures and false prophets, autocrats like Russell, Rutherford, Knorr, Franz, etc. At the end of the day, we can go through WT distinctives and show how they are extra/contrabiblical. You will not see it due to mind control, indoctrination, and reliance on WT simplistic, pat answers instead of sound exegesis and first hand research of the scholars of Christendom that they misquote.
