Life after death
by truthseeker ineveryone has different views about life after death and whether or not it is a possibility.. as jehovah's witnesses, we were always taught that there is no life after death, that this is the only life we have now and that the wages of sin is death.. .
what are your views on life after death?.

The authenticity and inspiration of the books preceded the formalized collection of them. It would not matter if the canon was not settled for centuries as long as individual books were in fact inspired by God. The OT Scriptures were also settled much earlier, right? Jesus referred to OT books/verses as the Word of God/Scripture despite just having translations such as LXX. I believe Him, not your skepticism.

Our love and longing for God must exceed our love for the things of the world, even our own families. It is not a matter of what we want, but what is reality in the end. Those who trust in the real Jesus will be resurrected/glorified to heaven with Him, but the New Jerusalem comes down to earth, so we will have interaction here. I plan on exploring the galaxy and this planet throughout eternity, but the focus will be on worshipping King Jesus with the saints of all time.

Apocrypha is spurious, not canonical.

Heaven is where God is. Jn. 14:1-2; Revelation, etc. shows that our ultimate purpose and destiny is to live with God forever. Why would you prefer earth without God (just like a secular utopia) over seeing God face to face? Heaven is glorious, a hope for all believers (JWs also have a false hope and will not even be on earth if they do not renounce the WT and its lies).

Copies would have continuity with the non-extant autographs. They did not just fall out of thin air. Most accept other books of antiquity with a fraction of the MSS evidence. We must also trust the sovereign providence of God to superintend the inspiration, transmission, canonicity of Scripture. For most, the bigger issue is interpreting and applying the good stuff that we do have.
possible: are you also agnostic about the existence of God?

possible: There are many good, credible versions. The Greek MSS evidence is 99% pure with no significant doctrine or practice affected by the minor variants. The OT Masoretic text has also been shown to be accurate by recent Dead Sea Scrolls, etc. Virtually every Bible translates Jn. 1:1 as 'the Word was God'. The sectarian NWT puts 'a god'. This is theologically, contextually, grammatically impossible. An introductory Greek student (let alone the many Masters that have commented on it....even see Kingdom Interlinear) can explain why God is the right translation and a god is a polytheistic impossibility. The WT is right to say the correct translation means our salvation.
KJV, ESV, NASB, NIV (2011), etc. are trustworthy (www.biblegateway.com for comparison) with essential agreement. When it comes to any given verse, the art and science of textual criticism helps us get to the bottom of things. Every major version affirms the Deity of Christ. Only cultic perversions deny it (Greber; NWT; Christadelphian Diaglott, etc.). It is a JW/Mormon lie to cast doubt on excellent English versions that contradict their errors.

What say you Christians ???
by wobble init seems to me that most, if not all christians are really hung up on sin and redemption from sin and how naturally evil we all are.. my question, and observation is this : i had nothing to do with whatever you say adam and eve did wrong, i have always, throughout my life, treated whoever i came into contact with compassion, respect and love.. i have lived by the golden rule.. not many people, hand on heart, can say that, i can.. so, is your god going to judge me for the "sin" of some mythical forebears of mine ?
is he going to say that , because i did not believe in him, i willl be judged adversely, even though i lived by the precepts he is supposed to support ?.
all i can say is, if your god is like that, i refuse to worship or acknowledge him.. and i certainly do not want to get to know him.

Dog, are you Calvinistic or not?
leaving: God's will and ways are based on His righteous character, not whims, fickleness, arbitrariness. His ways are good, right, holy, just, fair, etc. Lex Rex vs Rex Lex (the Law is King; the King is not a despot who can make evil laws just because He has power to do so).

Word=Scripture=Bible. The articles in the WT that argue for the personality of the devil/demons more than prove the personality of the Holy Spirit (will, intellect, emotions). The anti-trinitarian bias leads to a denial of the Deity of Christ/personality of the Holy Spirit (end result is dead religion without the power and presence of God).

Notice that the Holy Spirit speaks, proof that He is not an it/active force. The Spirit does not speak contrary to the Word. If it is, it is a false spirit.
