Throwing out literature left in public places
by rebel8 ini have done it for years for wts literature.
i am not talking about something that's someone's property, like a library book, just literature left on benches and such.. today i saw a tract saying, "why am i here?
" i snagged it and took a look.

Hello
by Chariklo ini am new to this site, just finding my way around.. i've been studying with jw's for about 15 months.
i'm an unbaptised publisher, and until recently never missed a meeting, have been out "on the service" quite a lot.
i've been having difficulties with one of the jw's studying with me and something happened which was just unacceptable.

The Koranic christ did not die, did not rise from the dead, is not Deity. Those who trust in it are without hope and need the real Jesus/Gospel. Like JWs, Muslims are victims of their religion, yet without excuse for not doing their homework. Thankfully, many Muslims and JWs are coming to Christ and being set free. They make some of the most passionate believers, a blind man seeing light and color.

I Jn. 5 uses present, continuous tenses. It makes faith in Christ alone the issue. A common debate in Christian circles is OSAS (once saved always saved) vs one can lose their salvation. It is not a debate in JW circles because they are hyper-insecurity of the believer. The biblical position is conditional vs unconditional eternal security (Calvinism vs Arminianism is also relevant here). One must continue and remain in Him (which is not a work). Those who fall away/apostasize are no longer in Him. Eternal life is in Him, not resident in us apart from Him. The present tense also shows that we can know now that we have life, not just hope for it if we are good enough in the end (Muslim/JW works system vs grace/faith).

Save me the time. Do you really think there has not been a proposed solution? Off the top of my head, I am not aware of the problem. If there is, does that negate the historicity of the rest of the Bible that Jesus affirmed (Noah, etc.)?

It seems one gets kicked out the kingdom quicker for smoking than for child abuse in WT circles.
What is wrong with the Lazarus accounts? Have you looked at any research that would respond to your concerns, whatever they may be? The Johannine Comma (I Jn. 5:7) is a legit issue, but the Lazarus accounts are not disputable.

I would pick up a real $100 bill, but throw out a fake one. JWs have zeal without knowledge. Christians should have zeal with wisdom/knowledge. TV can be used for good or evil.

The Jesus Seminar is pseudo-scholarship. The Gospels have strong manuscript evidence and are trustworthy historical sources (Luke was impeccable historian) for the life and teaching of Christ. Even if you assume they are not, at least understand what the traditional Bible teaches on these subjects. The burden of proof is on you to show why the Gospels are not His words (a harmony of the Gospels is possible with variants having credible explanations).

Christian literature is a tool used by God. Cultic literature can be used as a tool by Satan. I would also remove WT literature, but I would not remove a biblical Christian tract (in some countries, gospel literature is passed around among numerous people...they are hungry for these things and don't have the mass access that North Americans do).
