beksbks, Christianity created the word but Christianity in itself is pagan so now I dont think the word really exists. But I guess that is a good question because everything is pagan, therefore it shouldn't matter if anyone celebrates Christmas. I think that is what you are really asking.

Lovelilly, MrsJones &Finally-Free, if you honestly go back to page 2-4 of the posts on this thread, you will see how many went from answering this question to condemning me or sending angry posts because I said that "lying to their kids about Santa seems wrong." Darn, didn't yall use to be JWs. Didn't yall use to think it was wrong to lie to kids like that. God hates a lier and all that stuff. As I said, I was looking for justification to celebrate Christmas this year and alot of people pissed me off by their post just because I stated my opinion so I retaliated. Think about it, im Agnostic but it is still hard for me to ever give blood, celebrate Christmas; other holidays. I shouldn't even care but I still do for some reason! Truly sorry if I offended you but it is no reason to attack me on here. Also if non of you are self-righteous Christians and can accept that passing down the Santa story is a lie(thats just what it is) NOTHING I have said this whole time should have offended you!

I would have never in a million years even considered celebrating Christmas (growing up a JW) and you are helping me reason (im only 24yrs old and still need a little guidance). TheSilence, Hello and thank you very much for sharing your story!! There are alot of people on here who are rude because I asked a simple question (kindof like the wt organization). I appreciated your story and it helped me to see that you were welcomed with hugs and kisses when you decided to celebrate Christmas. Im sure you can understand how I would feel hypocritical of myself if I decided to start celebrating Christmas now (for 24yrs I have condemned it). Again, thank you very much for sharing!

This is MY THREAD that I started. Like I said before, I was looking for a way to justify celebrating Christmas (my wife asked me a couple of weeks ago to celebrate it with her family). Why the heck can't u accept that!! I dont win any presents (lol) lying to anyone!! There wasnt anything wrong with me asking about their kids being mad about Santa being real! This is a open forum I can ask whatever I want! Why cant you accept that I needed justification for celebrating Christmas and started a thread to convince MYSELF!!! Im sure you wouldn't call me a "lier" or say that Im "hiding behind bullshit" if you saw me in person, and THAT IS A FACT!! So I will continue to not take you seriously!!
