The Watchtower are Right About Blood...
by cofty in... but, they fail to take note of one important detail.. i believe that if we are going to have any chance of reasoning with a jw about blood, this is the place we need to begin.. don't try to convince them that it was only a dietary law.
it wasn't, and they will never go along with it.. don't tell them that saving a life is more important than obeying a law, even a seemingly trivial one.
they take pride in obedience.

the approaching presidential election provides an opportunity to examine this question.. and what of all the appendage organisations (like the wts) that rode across the world on the hegemon's coattails?.

If Trump wins, they say they'll incite riots everywhere,etc. They say they've been too nice. This is what happens when liberals allow things like the BLM lie that blacks are systematically oppressed to go on, and that dumb politically correct notion. Their problems are not due to having 75% no fathers in the family, not due to the culture of attacking and shunning those who want to do good in school as being 'too white', not due to attacking and being aggressive to police, not due to committing more than 50% of crime though being 10% of population, not due to no snitching and letting crime run rampant. Nope, it's all due to systematic racism. Bernie wants to give them all free room and board for college. Restore voting to those who have felony records. Give them minimum $15 an hour +. It'll come down to either GIVE them everything or they threaten to riot and start race war.

I no longer feel smart as a JW, I feel dumb...
by thedepressedsoul ini don't want anyone to take this the wrong way but i use to at least feel smart as a jw.
when i went to thursday night meetings, i at least felt like i was a student, that i was learning how to speak publicly, i could prepare my own comments, i could answer points that i learned from the weekly bible reading.
i even feel like an "idiot" studying for the meetings.

we're being taught not to get into any doctrine issues......In door to door if someone argues, we just leave now.
Pretty soon it will be a DFing matter if you get into doctrine or discuss anything if anybody brings up opposition or counter argument. The GB will say something about how satan has become super smart and has taught all the worldly people lies so powerful if anybody has a discussion with one who aren't sheep bible students who will unquestionably accept anything they are told, then it's as bad as talking to an apostate, etc. They are getting desperate since anybody who googles jehovah's witnesses will know more then members themselves.

it's very annoying.
