I was disgusted when I was reading back all the awake articles, especially during the 1990s, HEAVILY praising and promoting the UN. Every article talked about the UN and them working on hunger, disease, etc, YET only the permanent fix is God's kingdom. No matter they were promoting it as the current fix.

The Jan 15,2010 WT, to be studied on March 29th to April 4th, entitled "Jehovah's way of ruling to be vindicated".
Paragraph 10 to 12 - a few of the statements, my comments in quotations...... The nation of Israel proved unwilling to serve Jehovah faithfully. (in what sense?) Eventually, they rejected God's appointed Messiah, and Jehovah rejected them and purposed to replace them with a group fo people who formed a new nation. Between the original nation of Israel and the new "Israel of God" there are both differences and similarities. Unlike ancient Israel, the Christian congregation HAS NO HUMAN KING and it has no need for offering animal sacrifices in behalf of sinners. (no human king huh?) One similarity between the nation of Israel and the Chrisitian congregation is the arrangement of older men, or elders. (you mean pharisees right?) Such Christian elders do not rule over the flock. (really now? ) Rather, they shepherd (you mean rule) the congregation and unstintingly take the lead in Christian activities. By meditatating on God's dealings with Israel, members of "the Israel of God" and their "other sheep" companions develop greater appreciation for Jehovah and HIS WAY OF GOVERNING. (you mean through the GB kings and pharisees who really aren't). For example, history shows that the human rulers of Israel greatly influenced their subjects, either for good or bad. That fact impresses upon those taking the lead among Christians that, although they are not rulers like those ancient kings, they must always set a good example of faith. (Hey can anybody lend me a shovel here, there is cow dung all over the place, if tyranically setting doctrine, DFing any who don't 100% agree, etc is not ruling as king, but just leading by faith, then what is?)
It gets even better, after another GB praise paragraph in 14, paragraph 15 says, "Each of us would do well to ask himself: Do I fully recongize the responsibilities that I should shoulder within the Christian congregation? Am I properly supporting Jehovah's way of governing? Am I proud to be a subject of Jehovah's ruling Kingdom? Am I determined to continue telling others about God's kingdom to the extend that I reasonably can? As a group, we willingly submit ourselves to the direction given by the Governing Body and cooperate with teh appointed elders in the congregations. In such ways, we demonstrate our acceptance of God's way of ruling. (READ Hebrews 13:17) Willing submission results in a worldwide unity that is unique in this divided world. It also produces peace and righteousness and brings glory to Jehovah, demonstrating that his way of ruling is by far the best.

Kolbrin Bible, Revelation, etal all point to ONE major event
by sinis inthe tracking of a celestial event that left man speachless.
the symbolism that religion extracts from the bible and other texts to give it some "spiritual" meaning, is complete bullshit.
you need to look deeper, juxtapose it with other writings, and look at what the ancients were trying to convey.

Not sure how you came upon this, whether your own research and realization or from hearing from others, but please let me know. On my own personal studies, I've come to realize this on my own but unable to find it anywhere else. Most of the prophecies in the bible, like Daniel, Ezekiel, Revelation, ones which 'seem' different are all the same, as well as other books not cannonized in the bible. Some pagan/other sources as well appear to have the same event too.
Still working on it, as much much to go over, but not far off from having the puzzle finished, which even gives specifics on whats to come for various parts of the world, peoples, countries, etc.
You may be talking about something entirely diff, gonna check those links now, but assume your somewhat talking about the same thing.

EXCELLENT post, I'm so glad to see others who have gained that same understanding. I'm gonna keep an eye out for any future posts you have. Keep doing your reading, as you stated that Jesus dispenses the extra spirit of truth knowing what we currently know, and that is so true. Reread Daniel, Ezekiel, etc, again and you'll get more out of it. Once you get new light, then it practically resets the bible, rereading it all will give you even more new light.

What translation of the Bible do you use?
by Miss Chievous inafter leaving the org i got a compemporary english version of the bible and although it is not a word perfect translation it is so easy to read, something i never found with the nwt.
it is the youth version of that translation and along side the scriptures it has small sections on bible history, major themes running through the scriptures, questions and answers on important issues, advice on real life situations and how to be christian.
makes bible reading much more enjoyable.

Below is some info, but look at the "foreword" in many of the NWT and you'll see them even state it was based on the text of Westcott and Hort. Apparently it was popular up till WW2 with several bible translations but now NWT one of the only ones it's still based off. Here is some info, and some online originals.
Westcott and Hort distinguished four text types in their studies. The most recent is Syrian, or Byzantine text-type, of which the newest example (thus from the critical text view less reliable) is the Textus Receptus. The Western text-type is much older, but tends to paraphrase, so according to them also lacks dependability. The Alexandrian text-type, exemplified in the codex Ephraemi, exhibits a polished Greek style. The two scholars identified their favorite text type as "Neutral text", exemplified by the two 4th century manuscripts codex Vaticanus (known to scholars since the 15th century) and codex Sinaiticus (discovered only in 1859), both of which they relied on heavily but not exclusively for this edition. This text has only a few changes of the original. [ 3 ] This edition based on the critical works especially of Tischendorf and Tregelles. [ 3 ]
Westcott and Hort worked on their Testament from 1853 until its completion in 1881 (Metzger, p. 129). It was followed by an Introduction and Appendix by Hort appearing in a second volume in 1882. In 1892, a revised edition was released by F. C. Burkitt.
http://openscriptures.org/prototypes/manuscript-comparator - is enlightening
Their translation was called the new testament in the original greek - relied heavily on the Vaticanus codex.

I've been having to use online hebrew interlinear and online greek for new testament interlinear because ALL bibles got some big changes. For example, ADM and man are the same in all of Genesis and quite a few other scriptures. Yet they translate it when without a doubt talking about mankind in general as man, even thought it says ADM.
Any good reasonable hard copy interlinears available? Online is good but would like paper ones too.
Also, has anyone done research into the scrolls in which their copies of the bible were translated from? Like many modern ones, and the ones used for the NWT were based on Westcot and Hort (you can see in the forward) which shows nobody in the WT ever translated the bible from hebrew or greek to english, they took an OUTSIDE SOURCE translation, and made a few edits. But the scriptures that are cut out of the bible, were done by Westcot and Hort, and they used theirs, and theirs was translated from scrolls found in 1700's, vs the ones used to make the KJV, they claim theirs was more reliable but it was older then the one used in the KJV.
Anyway, not so sure about that. But thats another story.

Any "single issue" faders or leavers around?
by Mad Sweeney ini doubt this will get a lot of response but here goes anyway.
.
anyone fading (or just left cold turkey) over a single issue (such as blood, pedophelia, or shunning, for example) who would be willing to return if the borg finally reformed that particular doctrine to your satisfaction?.

Here is the 'true' way the congregations were to be run.
1. Letting God's holy spirit operate in each congregation. Past the basic truths, it would be very personal, GROUP discussion, on research and study. Allow people who thought they got insight to share with everyone, and the congregation then or for next time would look up and see if all come to same conclusion, if something was unanimous, then very likely would be true. It would be very similar to the 'bible students' based on what I've heard before Charles Taze Russell, before all of it became too organized. Those who ally themselves or join, may stay as long as not a 'practicer' of sin, if any who were with them were outright practicers of sin and not changing, they would be shunned. If one made any sin, then the mature ones of the congregation would pray over them for spiritual healing. The gathering of themselves together is not sitting in the same place, but actually during that encouraging eachother.
The problems with what is going on now. A. Many are made teachers who are not qualified to be, and Paul warned they carry higher judgement.
B. God's chosen, have been enslaved and are kept from doing his will for them as individuals
C. Many are rejecting the holy spirit as demonic or innaccurate or indepedant thinking and must be wrong.
D. Many are judging others for not believing their message, even though history proves how much it changed, yet with that strong judgement, they may be giving themselves a harsh judgement.
E. Many are trying to save themselves by works, and not undertand the balance and how works go with faith. By wondering if they are making enough meetings or enough service, they are not having faith that produces works, they are trying to gain salvation by works. True works make your whole life, what you do, how you do things, every aspect, and the fruitgages of the spirit are signs to let you know if your being led by spirit or flesh. They aren't traits to 'work on' you are either led by spirit or not, and if not, you know based on what your currently have and then can look at yourself for what changes you need to do.
F. For "conscience matters" many go to GB vs the bible and their conscience for what is right or not. The bible says if you do something with doubts, you sin. thats why everything to be done w/ clean conscience. Those who do not get the truth, they still have a conscience, and hence why bible says God's law is within them, they will conddemn and get judgement themselves by going against what they internally know is wrong.
G. ONE BIG THING - one of the hardest things on trusting in Jehovah and going on your own, is that many are so set on being told what to do, not having to think. Many on their own can be disciplined enough and takes a lot of work to try to on your own serve God. Takes courage as well, so many if all was exposed, many just end up doing nothing.
There is some hope at the end of the tunnel though, the great tribulation. It will seal the fate for many, but also allow some to return to God. Apparently though, once it begins, the opportunity for a higher calling is closed. Still looking into this, but seems some are chosen before birth or even made for this, and then some are adopted by showing a true want and heart for wanting this and giving themselves fully.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Milton_H._Erickson - That Dr. taught many hypnosis techniques, and you'll be surprised to see how often you've been somewhat lead into it in everyday life. If you check that out, you'll understand more what I'm talking about. This isn't the type of hypnosis where your a full zombie unaware of actions you do, but the kind which gets your mind to accept things unchecked. It's similar by sales gurus, it gets thoughts past the checkpoint barrier of acceptence in your mind and without raising red flags, which is why so much is happening without anyone questioning anything.

Anyway, any who know about programming, sales, hypnosis, is that making somebody repeat something, fools their mind into believing it.
Old song #43, was bringing out a lot of things that God's followers would do, be clean, dress nice, loving neighbors, etc.
The NEW one, as well as most songs, most are made making statements, one example in it, old song said "We have a ministry so sacred, that we desire to dignify". - well I guess that's a waste of space, as it only acknowledges the ministry of God as sacred. The new one says, "Our service we hold to be sacred, our worship is never routine". By saying that, singing it, it bypasses the mental block or thinking ability and your mind accepts it as truth. Do some research into hypnosis that even Obama is showing to be doing while on TV, even many sales guides teach a small form of it.
I'm guessing in addition to this all, the music tones as well as making the statements other then reading as if talking about yourself, will cause you to believe it if your not aware of whats going on.
